Can’t believe people enjoy a game
Remember, not everyone from the 50k player quit faction in May/June left a negative review.
If we take into account all those salty players, I’m sure steam reviews would be hanging at 20% negative.
They also neglect to take in the number of hours played in proportion to positive and negative feedback.

It doesn’t matter if this game has positive reviews. Market prices will inflate next year which means newbies cannot afford their necessary items unless they RMT or use TP to trade Token/costumes for items which means the game will be P2W.
This is exactly what happened to several official RO servers before they closed. The only difference is, it took years before there was hyper-inflation in RO meanwhile it took just a few months in TOS.

The game is still bleeding out steadily at a 6% loss per month. R8 didn’t really make a dent on the rate of player retention for reasons that have been discussed to death.
The real question is if IMC manages to break even on iToS by exploiting the open wallets of their few remaining players with abusive P2W schemes. I hope not, but we all know that kind of exit strategy has been known to work.

As much as i dislike imc and complain about them alot, i wouldnt go as far as to sabotage them to make them lose players further than the normal rate which is alredi going down fast if u ask me. But yea i wont sabo them cos u know, im playing and i want to have people to queue with. People who have quitted already, good for u… Move on

They are thinking in the terms of “if I can’t enjoy it no one can”. Most of them don’t even play and generally dislike anyone saying anything positive about the game.

atleast, with constant reminding people how sucky the game is, we drew the bottomline how bad the game could sink, giving them the warning they needed.

congratulation, we doomposter have just filtered another quality whiteknight for the game!
(although most player left playing now, either angry paying customer, or carefree freeloader filthy casuals, or RMT/Bot minimum spending players, or Dual-Credit-Card-Swapping-walletknight)

Lets just ignore the fact that many of them have less than 24 hrs gameplay. It makes me wonder if they actually played beyond lv30. If you actually read those ‘positive’ reviews, many of the recent reviews are sarcastic reviews with the similar writing style (also with super short gameplay time) which gives the feeling they are accounts purposely made by the same person just to post reviews. Huehuehue who wrote that?
By the way, I really do hope that praising IMC will make them work harder. Sadly many IMC worship threads were made but IMC is still as you can see today. I’m no gonna tell people to stop playing tos but lying about the state of game to lure in innocent people is just not right…but I like it.

The negative framing in which these facts is displayed is what doomposting is.

I think there are too many ways to enjoy ToS.
Many people here dislike it because of PVP side, but they don’t realize ToS wasn’t designed for PVP. So IMC tried to deliver something for those PVP maniacs.
Many people joined ToS with RO in their mind(after they realize ToS isn’t RO2, they quit).
ToS isn’t about pvp, open your mind.
ToS is purely PVE. How early you accept this, early you will stop complain.
If you want PVP all day, go play some FPS. Best pvp ever.
I suggest everyone who don’t know how to use properly the term “white knight”, to do a solid research.
