Just hit Fencer, questions!

I am lvl 177, just hit fencer

Currently Sword 1 --> Pelt 1 --> Barb 2 --> Corsair 1 --> Fencer 1

  1. What should be my order to get my skills in? Class levels are going to come slowly, and I want to be optimal with what skills I get in what order.

  2. Gear. I have ~500k to my name right now. I have a Magas Rapir and an Arde Dagger. Using full lvl 170 white gear, with a Strength Pendant. What gear should I be shooting for?

  3. Mage mob, hurt, a lot. While doing Tyla Monastery, I wanted to cry, I had to Seism x2 cleave x 2 ( couldn’t even get a helm off ) and kite while my HP pot was on CD, because of how much damage they do. Any tips to help with this?

below are just my humble opinions

  1. you should be getting “Lunge” first as it goes well with your barb/slash skills

  2. gear wise i’m not too sure, maybe gear that contributes to your DEX / Evade

  3. nothing much you can do unless you have more CON or mdef gear. i just got past that place yesterday and yea it really hurts. your best bet would be to kite and not take on too much mage mobs at a time. take your time.

Assuming you are going Fencer C2, I agree with Hinatalky Lunge is great to grab first. Who can complain about more slash damage when your skills are slash? Plus extra evasion which brings me to Flannconade. You will get stuck in a tanking position, so a no cool down block skill at 1 (it burns SP terribly most people do not take it higher) is awesome utility. Then if you’re taking Sept Etoiles, I say go 1/1 for Attaque Coquille + Sept Etoiles unless you are taking Esquive Toucher. Most people skip that skill but I like it myself. I’d still distribute points last into it for C1.

For C2, grab Attaque Composee at least at 1, I hear the damage can do upwards of 10k paired with Preparation + Attaque Coquille. So obviously if you wanted to do that combo, maybe grab Preparation at 1. I was told the actual block from the skill is crap, but the animation is cancellable and it boosts your pierce damage further. Then I’d do Lunge/Esquive for that Evasion boost, maybe more Coquille for added duration, and finally Sept Etoiles.

get Lunge, Coquille, Sept and Flanconnade at Level 1 first, then Level 2 Coquille, max lunge, max sept after that. Then decide if you want Esquive Toucher

Farm venier by yourself, all the materials and the recipe aren’t hard to get. Save your money for aoe attack ratio headgears or gladiator band, then attributes later on

Everyone hates mage mobs, you’ll see the real deal on maps like Ibre Plateau

Alternatively a good way to get amber for the Venier if you don’t want to farm it is just farm Venier recipes. 1 will cost you about the same as the ambers and with Corsair they drop nicely. I dropped 4 in a week. There’s also just pure silver farming at the entrance of Veda’s Plateau, if no one’s around you can make 200-300k an hour.
