Flashback league in POE is almost over and I Just heard about this game today. A few questions:
I am an NA player, so from my understanding I have two choices in servers Orsha or Klapedia. Is there any benefit to choosing one over the other? I don’t want to be stuck in any login ques
Are all classes balanced? Or, I should ask, is there an OP class atm? I am all about cool looking skills/spells, I don’t really care about highest DPS, so if you want to make any recommendations, that would be great.
I have read that the game is super grindy and that max level is really high like 600. But, what is a reasonable level to get to, to have all your core skills to your class and to do end game stuff, and how long does it take to get there?
What does end game consist of in this game?
Is it true that this game does not offer a full reset? Once you make a Wizard build, thats what you are stuck with forever?
Not sure about Orsha now, but Klaipeda have no queues.
No balanced classes, at leat most of them are not balanced, the game is far from completion either, at actual state, the max Lv is 280 from the proposed 500 Lvs, end game is basically non present, only Earth Tower, WBs hunt and GvG, which is messed up yet.
Just a personal observation on end game, and i do believe this is valid to any game out there, it is you who make your own end game, if you want to just chat, run around, explore, complete achievements, fill the adventurers log and so on and so forth.
The grind only start after Lv 220+ you still have dailies, dungeon (3 per day/char with token 2 without token). and the max Lv is 500.
Vide answer for 2.
You can reset skill points but not classes, what is the point in reset a class anyway? So pay attention on what you gonna build to not regret later, ask for info on the forums and you will be fine.
Not even close but once server stability is established and most of the bugs are fixed im sure will start getting balance patches the korean server has recieved many. So your better off building around a class you like.
Current max is 280 eventual max will be 500-600 area and it is grindy in the high lvls but its not that bad if you have played other korean mmos. Max lvl on your first char probly 2 months fairly casual really depends on how much free time you have.
Earth tower and pvp because this is a temporary max lvl AKA the end game doesn’t exist yet so no need to rush to something that isnt there
Yes your choices matter, think them through. You can reset skill points. But not circles. Stat resets potions could be obtained through founders packs which i believe are gone now.
1.) Almost no difference. There shouldn’t be a queue for either iirc. I think orsha has a smaller population than klaipeda though.
2.) The very last few classes of archer are “op” and some wizard classes. I dont remember which ones. They are “op” because their damage scaling is just better. Atm swordsman is pretty much forced to go tank even though they have dps classes.
3.) atm level 280 is the cap with 7 class changes. Yes it is very grindy compared to the other games in it’s time. All of your core skills, it depends on your build. Usually it wont be until around rank 5~7 which is pretty late in the game.
4.) The only thing worth mentioning as endgame would be Earth Tower, but I dont even know if we have that yet. Other than that, world bosses.
5.) Yes, it’s true. Once you select the next class you want to be there is no changing it. It’s extremely punishing if you dont know what to do and want to try things out. It’s like it’s trying too hard to be like those old games.
Everyone else answered pretty well.Just gonna leave my usual warning for new players:
If you’re not the patient type,I mean this in the nicest way;you should reconsider. The game is on very rough terrain right now.Very buggy, laggy, unbalanced, and unresponsive staff.Patches currently aren’t fixing key problems, and there’s no way to purchase in-game currency at the moment. This is a summary of the bigger issues at the moment.
I still hope you can get into the game and enjoy it if this all doesn’t bother you,but I think it’s important for new players to be aware of them.
Well, i will say again, you make your game fun be it a complete or not, it all depends on your play style, i like to take it easy, i test builds, Lv different chars, delete the ones i don’t like and start all over, i strongly recommend you to play with friends, it might make things less boring as you have someone to talk and distract yourself while playing.
So mostly everyone said to go Wiz/Arch, and to void Sword. How about Cleric? I have noticed in most “end game” videos on youtube, people are in a party of 4. Are healers mandatory, or just kind of a good to have?
My main turnoff for healer is that I saw multiple videos on youtube about aura SFX. There is no way tot urn it off. That sound, constantly would drive me crazy.
Also, I would think the healer is harder to lvl up, as I saw the beginning skills and they are all cure, protect, healz…etc.
After reading this thread I think I will go Wiz, but would appreciate someone speaking about the Cleric.
I’m a Cleric, level 70 right now. Its a great class, a lot stronger than I thought it would be. Our heals and cures do damage too. Heal damages enemies or heals teammates. Cure is a Cleric’s strongest attack, its extremely powerful.
The only thing bad about cleric is the slow cooldowns on attacks. You have a melee attack, but its very weak compared to your skills. If you just used your two attacks, you gotta wait around a few seconds for them to recharge.
I will be rude here (not to you obviously) but people who say “this” class is crap and “that” class is OP is kind retard and don’t know how to play the classes well. But as me and other pointed out, the game is not balanced, so yeah, some classes will be lacking lots of stuff and not even worth, that is where you can use tosbase, make your build there post here on forums (on the right section) and ask for advice.
I have all 4 classes on my account, 1 Wiz C1 > Pyro C2 > Linker C1 > Sorc C2 and Alch C1, it is a mess of classes indeed, but i am happy with my choices for now, i will take Linker C2 whenever Rank 8 hits the game.
Well unfortunately, you can’t isolate 1 sound, you can lower or turn off and leave the music a bit higher to see if it get better.
I have a Sadhu that started as Cleric C2 > Krivis C1, while you will add INT and SPR on your support/healer, heal tiles and cure do a lot of damage, the bad side to them is that they don’t work on flying enemies, so you will be stuck for a while by hitting them with your weapon, not that they are hard to kill, but it is a bit annoying lol.
As for support, make a build where you think it will be good, post on the forums and ask for advice, there are some people here who knows the classes mechanics.
I can’t say much about it, as far as i know, it is a good class with high survival skills, if you think on going bokor, i suggest you to talk to @Sixaxis, he helped me lots the other day to fix my messed up cleric build.
In any class, you can play easily up to R5 and test all you want, but as i stated on my other post, that is just me who don’t mind mess a class, delete and start it all again lol.
Thanks everyone for all of the helpful info. For wizz, I went wiz > wiz (so far) but following a guide that goes wiz x3 -> ele x3 -> Warlock. However, I am looking for another class besides warlock for the 7th rank, but since its a while ebfor eI get there I am not too worried.
And Cleric, going a melee paladin type. So far the game has been a lot of fun. Stayed up all night playing it. Music is great, and the sfx and look remind me a polished zelda.
So far on wiz though, its started off pretty slow. Sometimes I have 4 seconds of not having anything up to cast so I run in circles. But I saw the youtube vuds for this build and the AOE is nasty.
The issue I have with Wizard and Archer is there are like NO unique builds. You got your typical Sorc build and your typical linker build. Then you got your typical Fletch build and your typical auto attack build.
