People like this are just as bad as the bots. Helping to ruin the economy and supporting the bots?
This deserves an outright ban aswell.

as far as I was aware buying silver from bots is bannable. just send the screen shot as a report instead of s!^t shaming him on the forums and he’d probably be on the list of bans for the day.

I do not agree with this. This is not the way, that player trusted you or even didn’t know.
This problem must be resolved preventing the bots, making the business not profitable by preventing it and not running behind it.
You can see all the bots in cities and “profitable” spots for them, just put guardians there and insta-ban any bot that is pretty obvious what a bot is.
Something doesn’t fit at all in this picture.
I feel ban hammer coming.
Last time gold seller trusted me they got banned. I did it for the lolis.

So you are saying you are to scared to tell people you bought the gold but you really want to but you cant’t show off your epeen because u might get banned ?

As much as buying silver is bannable just like ol’ RO’s “deal with bot ban” it’s still pretty sad line there - “it’s cheaper than founder pack”.

yea, but it’s the same old problem we keep running into.
a; you can’t just auto-ban anything that might look like a bot. maybe it’s just a player who isn’t very social.
b; it costs money to set up this “guardian”, or hire someone to be that guardian.
so, like always, where does the money come from, and what will work to -correctly- ID bots?

Sadly, while many people know that buying silver is illegal and still do it, there are peope who actually don’t know that buying silver is illegal.
I think the game should display some messages in the megaphone-chat from time to time
“ATTENTION PLAYERS : BUYING SILVER FOR REAL MONEY FROM OTHER PLAYERS OR WEBSITES IS ILLEGAL AND WILL RESULT IN A PERMANENT ACCOUNT BAN!”
This could be done by the server using the megaphone chat every ~10 minutes and sending this message.
What doesn’t “fit” in this picture.
I looked at someone’s gear -> got curious/jealous -> wanted to learn how to earn these items myself -> asked how he earned those expensive weapons -> he ends up saying he bought silver to “earn” items.
If nobody buys silver, bots won’t make profit? I don’t understand your defense.
