@OP, ditchers suck. Here’s a pat on the back from me to you.
Did my first few runs of 190 dungeon today. I play pure support (Link2Chrono) w/ Rune Caster because I love me good aestheics/terrible classes. Here we go:
Run 1: Not too bad. There was one other linker in the party who couldn’t communicate with us via english. not a big problem. the issue was he overrode every single link I made, never used hangman’s knot, and loved to disconnect the links at random. Like, he’d spiritual chain, disconnect it. Link mob, run to the middle, disconnect it. It was weird man. We cleared, a bit slow, but it was fine. Also, we had no tanks or healers.
Run 2: Good party composition, but this one guy just…??? he’d randomly stop, and say something. Then, as the linker, I pulled one tiny mob of like 4 at the end of the room and he goes on this huge rant about how he’s supposed to pull and lectures all of us on this “I PULL YOU LINK THEN EVERYONE ELSE” charade and I’m just like…okay, I already apologized. Then we do the whole thing and he goes “see?” in the most obnoxious way possible. the worst part is that he was incredibly slow because he kept talking so he wasn’t a reliable tank, and we ended up following the cataphract anyways.
Also, this isn’t bad or anything, but I was in a terrible mood then and someone just went “can you pull the mobs together right after link” when that is literally exactly what I do, like. it’s a reflex. i never link without using hangman. It just glitches out and refuses to work sometimes in dungeons, and monsters basically just freeze on the spot instead of actually getting pulled.
Run 3: ALRIGHTY WE LANDED WITH THREE SUPPORT MAGES. guy who overrides links and loves to disconnect them is back. Other guy has nearly the exact same build as me except he’s a chrono2, which is nice, since we get haste. It’s link override hell, but whatever, we’re living. I’m running these with a friend, by the way. She’s a full str cataphract and basically just plays for fun, we usually have no issues in dungeons. There’s another warrior. They were what made this party so excruciatingly bad. I can deal with a bad matchup and get a few laughs out of it, but she was just suuuch a poor sport.
She immediately decides to interrogate my friend (after she’s done afking for about 5 minutes) going “12k hp??? how???” and my friend goes “never put anything into con” and she’s like “why???” like we chose to put antifreeze in their drink or something. We decide to boss rush since we’re a terrible matchup. I initially thought we were going to clear the path, but i guess not?
Warrior guy/girl goes “ok, if this spear drops, you give it to me, ok?” and I’m like haha fuck no inside my head. We take forever to clear cerebus, I somehow pull aggro even though I’m support, and every time I die I have to try to run through 9220032 mobs. which i mean works with reflect shield but my armor was broken by the end of that anyways.
On to fire lord. the warrior person tells my full str friend to tank so “i can do good dps”. ??? why would you tell a full str person to tank when you yourself went all crazy about how she had no con in the first place? At this point I straight up tell her/him that they’re incredibly annoying and she/he goes “no english”. what. how does not speaking english coincide with being annoying. And since my friend can’t tank, she goes, “lol ur so useless” like holy shhiiiiit. After 2389202 deaths we kill the boss and she rages about how she didn’t get her spear and goes “i did 80% of the damage, good team” and I was like “great job honey” and that is the story of how I never want to run that dungeon again in my short life
