I guess I am just indifferent.
1: People seem to forget that we do not get everything Ktos has. Nexon and IMC are different. Ktos has Rent-a-costumes w/stats. (iirc) and we don’t. Just because something came to ktos does not mean it will be the same here, but in usual fashion lets blow everything out of proportion before we have the facts.
2: I really don’t understand the hate between someone who spends money on something they love and someone who doesn’t. There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone being further ahead because they invested in such things. Half the crap people scream P2W I eyeroll at.
3: P2W: I often see a lot of people bring up POE as a perfect non-P2W game. And I agree, however it comes at a price regardless. Everything in POE is f’ckin designed ugly as sin. So you’ll want to spend money to look decent, hell even slightly okay. I love POE but the design aspect is totally ugly. Pay to look like you’re actually a high lvl strong char. (Big turn off for me.)
4: I could careless what Gacha brings. I’ll buy it when I have a few extra TP as I tend to spend about 20$ or so a month on any game I play. It just doesn’t seem like a huge deal to me. You don’t want to spend any money, then don’t. I never understood that. F2P games to me, should be built like Demos. Those specific few who never pay a dime are just a waste of sever space. It’s like me buying lunch and having to give some random guy a french-fry just because.
5: Why does even P2W matter in ToS matter? There is absolutely nothing competitve about it. You’re not fighting other Guilds for epic raid bosses or content as such. Oh you mean PvP? Although I crindge at even calling it that. The day it takes more than 1 hit to kill someone, and actually takes more skill then 1-2 buttons is the day I’ll admit you have a point.
tldr: The Gacha we see is a Ktos thing run by Nexon. Nexon and IMC are not the same. We do not get everything that Ktos gets in terms of “P2W items” like Rental Costumes. Let’s just see what happens first, then cry. I’ll still not care at that point. Gacha does not effect me in the slightest as there is nothing competitve in ToS.

Seriously? Usually you get something good after so many,but there is no excuse for that.
I wish there was a silver lining to this somewhere,but it’ll probably transition to us the exact same way.I can only wish that that isn’t the case…
Do they? That gives hope. That we will be different.
Though, I think IMC really should make an announcement on whether they plan to:
- Do cosmetic gacha only (first generation).
- Match kToS gacha cube for cube (including cubes with silver anvils and blessed shards).
- Or avoid gacha since we have many players angry about it.
And then they need to address the growing divide in gear between kToS and iToS. Since we already have less DGs and if we don’t get the P2W cubes we will need higher drop rate for Shards and Silver to keep us on par with the monster difficulty. Maybe another way to get Pract.
Because just the news of gacha… and this P2W gacha is causing players to quit. Even if churn is maintaining.

My dissatisfaction lately stems from more than the gacha concerns but you do raise some good points. It’s important to keep in mind that it might be different/not as bad but I’ve got a bad feeling about it too.
I think I mentioned this in another thread, it’s not so much the specific gacha boxes/system as what it usually means in as a shift in how the players are viewed by a company. I think that’s what a lot of people are concerned about too.

Yes because IMC would owe me a a$$ton of TP and time spent on 16 Characters developed when I could have just done everything with four.

can you atleast show pic/proof/link that your so called Rent-a-costume have w/stats in ktos?. i cant find it in google and forum search.
so far the only i know you can only rent costume for 500k.
let be realistic why wont they put this gacha thing in itos? to gain our interest/respect/redeem themselves back? there is no reason they wont include gacha in upcoming update unless they dont want money.

so, you want F2p game to be restricted behind paywall. 
firstly we need to define what is p2w:
Games that let you buy better gear or allow you to make better items then everyone else at a faster rate and then makes the game largely unbalanced even for people who have skill in the game without paying.
Because people define it in different ways there are constant arguments about whether something is pay to win or not.
There’s no doubt that you can have advantages over other players in PvE content though. You can get into mission/dungeon more easily generally outperform others. MMOs by their nature are competitive no matter what, since you’re always playing with other people, directly or indirectly.
You dont care about p2w it fine, but for everyone else? it not healthy for mmo to revolve around p2w it will deter any newcomer and game will dead.

nexon and imc are patner it in their best interest to salvage/squeeze every possible profit from this disaster.
I assure you nexon will pressure imc to include these gacha on future update.

Been loving TOS since day 1 EA, and still loving it just as much today. I realize it’s a game. I’m also mature enough that when I don’t find enjoyment from it anymore, I’ll leave both the game and the forums and come back after I find enjoyment in it again.

And what has been leaked is there that there is an internal debate. Drama maybe here for nothing. Or it may have influence.
Regardless I don’t think anyone outside of haukin’s circle jerk actually likes the drama. IMC could probably end it or lessen it with some communication if they’re ready…
Oh I know, it’s relatively the same 10 dipsh’ts over and over. Although I like Hauk sometimes, not because he is a giant hue-tard (no offense Hauk) but because he does have valid points hidden in his satire. Sometimes.
