It's launch day guys. Chill

Am I the only one around here who doesn’t have a complaint other than seeing other complaints?
Yes, there’s problems. Yes, IMC is probably way too behind on them. Yes, as paying consumers we should be concerned about what we’re getting for our money.
But as of the moment I feel like I’m the only one mature enough to wait patiently amidst the constant blabber of login queue here, bug there, should’ve been this over there, and such.
Not once have I seen a post here or on the subreddit that’s thankful for the compensation or communication that I’ve been seeing from IMC.
If that’s the case, allow me to be among the few to say, “Thank you.”, like a decent human being. Complaining and whining has gotten us somewhere, but if this is all we do to get what we want, I have to wonder why companies want to serve consumer bases acting like rabble.

With that, I open the floodgates. Thoughts?

Aren’t you a special snowflake.

I don’t understand why plebs like you always try to humanize companies.

It’s launch day and there are problems. By now I’d think people are used to that. It’s extremely rare for a highly anticipated game to have a smooth launch with no issues. As long as the complaints are long queues and lag, it’s fine. This is what always happens, nothing to be startled about, there’s zero surprise here.

I myself waited to buy on early access expecting those issues to surface. When things are fixed and everything is smooth, then I’ll buy my thing and enjoy the game without stress.

Now, what everyone should be looking at is not the issues, since that’s more or less the norm, but how IMC is handling the situation, how they are taking in feedback and how hard they are working on solving the problems that surface. So far, I’m getting a pretty good impression from the company, so that’s great!

For everyone 1 person complaining, there are 3 people just waiting patiently or playing other things while IMC cleans this up.

Anyone who has played multiple MMOs should know to avoid launch day like the plague. I just logged on to get my team name and that is it.

Alright, alright, the corporate watchdog barks in response.
Though am I not wrong in saying that companies are still run by humans? Granted, humans have flaws, which reflect in the company to varying degrees, but I hold the opinion (that is mine alone, for you to agree or disagree, hopefully respectfully) that they’ve been handling this as well as they could be under these circumstances.
I appreciate the ad-hominem attack and supposed insult if only to give me some more food for thought to chew over.

I’ve seen plenty myself.

In any event, generally speaking the lag and all is quite understandable for a server launch.
The locking of Team names and Founder Packs to servers, not so much.

Keep in mind that games like WoW may of always had issues at each of their expansions, but the players didnt lose anything there other then time invested. Their purchase of the expansion or game wouldnt be worth less because of it.

I feel that is the main difference here.
I’m pretty sure if people werent concerned about their founders pack and potentially wasting it, that we would see a lot less complaints.

Interesting, a fair point, and well put.
Thanks for the insight.

Sadly i did log in only to get my team name and 1h later they announced the eu server…

Unlucky Epten i think xD

RIP dude, one can only hope their responsiveness to issues continues and a good resolution comes about swiftly.
