If there’s no Rank Reset, basically noone will come back for the Rank update…
It would be a big waste of a possibility to tweak the end-of-year statistics on STEAM.

No rank reset = no bueno
It’s clear that rank reset will come, because imc have 2 options:
1)rank reset not coming: in this case people will have to level up new chars, and with this low playerbase it will be very bad
2)rank reset comes: people who were in hiatus come back to play, will level up their already max lv chars to explore new content. Other people who want create new chars comes too. Playerbase increase. Everyone happy, and imc make profit.
