iTOS popularity by country (Steam stats)

O NOES!

We need to warn him!

He will complain to his superior …

xD

Anyways. vatican is more then the chruch people.
There’s normal people there too.
And even religious people, want to have some fun with such a game. If they’re in the age range. Where they could have enjoyed RO or other mmorpgs.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see people playing as Celrics.
Holding messes ingame (three religions till now that i had seen~).
Have seen that already. Was even fun.
They had ingame voice servers … so only with cha tit would be hard xD.

Just for giggles, if everyone bought the $9.99 pack only, with the above figure of “96,438”, it would be a $963,415.62 for IMC. But… wasn’t it something like 60% of their sales or something were the $49.99 packs? I can’t recall, but if it is around 60%, and we say the rest got the $9.99 pack, that would be 2892561.37 + 385366.25 for a total around $3,277,927.62 USD (not including the currency conversions via steam).

Not a bad little jump-start for an international F2P launch.

Hopefully they use a part of that to hire an in-game GM or two lol

I am really scared. I can already imagine spam in Portuguese, Spanish, Deutsche, Russian and French, people using these languages always spam the most and don’t respect anyone. We are doomed.

So we have 4 servers for 32% of the players, while the remaining 68% should simply deal with it. Yeah so, who thought that having only NA servers is good?

thats why they should have done Steam server for Brasil, now everybody will play the iTOS =) cus nobody will lose everything just to start over in BR server,

and BR server will be full of kids cus who would pay will be in iTOS

I don’t have anything against Brazilians as people, but I really do hope they get their own server so they aren’t spamming NA ones, I don’t want the chat flooded with a language I can’t understand…

Agreed…
US have a lot of GDP, but pay isn’t that good.
Cost of living for essentials are also expensive.

In my personal experience, my friends who work in the US have the least of amount of money to spend on leisure.
Perhaps people working in the US should take a look at international opportunities. Your pay will likely double, and your disposal income income after rent, food, etc. is likely going to increase 3x-4x. Your disposable income increases by a lot more not only from lower cost of living, but also from the much much lower income tax rates. Currently you can use foreign income exclusion to exclude the first $100,000 from US taxes, that’s like $20-30k per year in tax savings per year from that alone.

Actually.

That money is a drop on a hot steaming plate of iron for them.
It’s maybe 5% or 10% of what it did cost to make the game.
From 2010ish (to 2011 info realese) to now (which changed drastically multiple times. 2011 version looked so nice… i liked that hairstyle).

Do you know how much money is needed to make games ^^?
But yes, it’s nice and non refundable as soon as people see the problems the game still has.

I concure that we will have about 250 to 400k sold packages. With an average price of 25.

THAT’S alot! 6,25mio (before taxes and steam cut).
But here again. Some pakcage prices in other countrys are only 50% or so of what we pay ^^. They will be lucky if 4 or 5 mio spring out of all these sales.

The biggest problem will be… player retainment.
And the shitstorm comming 29th march xD.

for reference sake.
1 Year of development cost for a small studio like IMC.
Should cost around 3~8 mio dollars.
Licenses, rent for stuff, PR, developer pocketmoney etc.

I dunno how many employes they have ^^. But it should be around that cost level.

Oh for sure for sure, costs are definitely a big deal. No doubt it cost quite a bit to get everything together in preparation for the game we’ve come to love.

I was pointing it out only because as a F2P game, that’s a decent chunk of change even before players have the option to buy from the in-game cash shop =P I mean… if they didn’t launch a founder pack at all, and just launched straight into the OBT we thought they would be doing, they would have had to wait the course of a month or more to start seeing returns like that, but instead they were able to come to a good compromise on how the launch would be monetized and scored it all at once.

I still hope they use some of it to make sure we have an active GM available in-game.
