Would it be possible to implement a system where, if you’re in a channel and an item with a DPK over 200~300 drops, it pops up a message? Maybe scrolls across the top like a shout?
It would alleviate a pretty awful part of the DPK system somewhat - Grinding against bots and never knowing if you’re working towards the drop or if you’re just wasting your time because they got it already.
The DPK system was developed to have some level of randomness because is impossible to know the kill-count of a channel (in theory, obviously) … but even with that, if you are alone in a channel or if the DPK is too damn high (maybe with the white boater?), you can easily predict when the drop will happen
The DPK level of randomness is already damn low if it is compared to the classic pure RNG, If this is implemented, it would be even lower and become SO MUCH more predictable, so
I’m plenty sure the intention of any develeper who wants to create a drop system is that it will be the most random and unpredictable possible,
there is absolutely no logic if a Dev apply what you are asking
If they wanted a random drop system they’d have a random drop system. The level of “Randomness” in DPK is mostly attributed to other people killing mobs in the same channel as you. Having DPK with no notification of rare drops is just mean.
