Zoomy - Allows you to zoom in/out by holding LEFTALT+PLUS or LEFTALT+MINUS.

"Only in my opinion!" It’s rather useless.
If it only allows official zoom levels it would be okay. If you can zoom out further than officially allowed, I’d consider it not allowed.
I actually would assume it’s NOT allowed ONLY because it lets you interact with your keyboard in a way other players can’t without using the add-on.
I’m literally just assuming though but it’s in that “grey” area I was talking about in my past a couple days ago.
“If you can’t confirm for sure if it’s OKAY to use, then it’s best not to use it”. That is really the best advice I can give anyone.

Could you show us how far can the camera go if you zoom out?
Pretty far, but at long distance map becomes fogged.
Anyway default distance is comfortable and zooming out don’t give any advantages.

It gives you a wider field of vision, which i would call an advantage
In a rational way, monsters will not be shown at a distance that is outside of range for resultions and zoom that is possible with the games own variables.
Ragnarok did it this way, which resulted in just seeing the map when using widescreen resolutions instead of 4:3 for which it was designed.
I’ve just tested it… didn’t like it… also I don’t think it gives you any advantages as well
The only good thing about it is the zoom in which allows you to take nice screenshots
Can’t test it now, but i think mobs/players sprites aren’t even loaded at far distance from player.
Zommed out,in mouse mode you can’t click beyond default camera distance to move, character runs randomly.
And a little wider field of vision…well, it can be called an advantage, but i didn’t find any use of it. Maybe in pvp arena it will be unfair.
I hope we’ll see official addon blacklist so i can remove it before they decide to ban all addon users.
The better solution would be limit the function calls and thus limit the interaction between addons and the game, this way everything that works is allowed (see Blizzard WoW addons, the have limited access to ingame functions)

Sure, it’s a lot better solution. But i don’t believe it will be done soon.
