Hello, I am planning on making several different Wizard classes to play PvE… I don’t plan on doing PvP.
I live in Europe and I have about 150ms ping to East Coast in USA.
Is Wizard a good choice for people with high ping like me, who only plan to do PvE?
Derp smash swordsman is always the best pick for bad ping. Quarrel shooter is the worst due to how its mechanics work. Wizard shouldn’t be to bad.
Wizard is the least sensitive to bad ping. They don’t have any class relies on auto-attack or 0 cd skill spam.
They have lots of skills with high cast time which often fail because of high ping. I would say the least sensitive classes are archer and int-based cleric.
Don’t play chronomancer if you have problem with ping
It depends on which build you have. Cast times can get interrupted. So if you go for things with a short cast and short cool down you should be OK. The Wiz classes are a lot of fun, going for a support build myself actually, and there’s ways to work around a bad ping. 
What do you mean by “cast times can get interrupted”?
Don’t worry about it, your ping is fine and you shouldn’t have any problems, even if you pick Chronomancer.
Skills can be interrupted if you get hit. I’m not sure if it’s every skill but even energy bolt can be canceled if you take damage unless they’ve changed this with the Korean release. That’s where the shield skill, surespell and quickcast come into play. Though, if you’re in a party it really becomes much less of an issue as long as you don’t draw too much hate and you have a good tank.
the biggest probel with ping for wiz is for the support ones. You may m,iss the skills timing, specially chornomancer and thaumatgurge
150ms ? really ? you have no problem at all.

Yeah 150ms isn’t that bad you should be fine. Archer is bad when you have high ping.

Ping doesnt matter that much on tos, dont worry about it lol

Sorry to ask this here i just don’t want to create another topic. Aren’t Wizards too squishy ? I mean all other classes have something that helps they survive. Swordsman have a lot of hp, can use shields to block and can build a lot of dex to dodge and Archers too. Clerics have heal and safety zone. So what Wizards have ?

That’s is nice but will cc prevent you getting one shoted by a boss or someone in pvp ? Building hp is one choice but hp for a wizard don’t feel right to me.
Well thats a shame. Because thats how you build wizards in this game. They are mostly Con especially for pvp.
