I’m asking this question because it seems like the kToS population is dwindling fast with people calling the game “Poop Tree” in the Korean forums.
Is there anything wrong with the game or is it just the players?
Yeah poop tree, or rather dung tree was a very common phrase coined during the kOBT, due to the various issues/etc that came with it. Then the rushed launch didn’t help along with the early cash shop.
But now it’s pretty stable, the populations also pretty stable during peak KR times, especially at later levels. A lot has changed since launch around when IMC/Nexon stated that they’d more actively communicate and kept true to that. A lot of nice things have happened since then.
As of this month, February 3rd, it’s ranked 18 from Inven rankings, and has been steadily going up.
On another note, forums are usually one of the worst places to judge a game. Almost no one praises or says it’s a good game, because they are in game. Forums is for complaints/etc and very rarely do MMO forum communities have valid good suggestions as opposed to general whining and bashing.

Thank you. That was exactly the answer I was looking for! I’m quite excited for the game and I was so confused why some players in Korea didn’t enjoy such a visually appealing game.

The dissatisfied people will always be vocal. Just saying. If I’m enjoying the game, I won’t be in the forums. I’ll be playing.
