People be getting mad at the forum staff like they actually have the authority/ability to do anything. Lol.
Was the launch smooth? No, but neither is the launch of any other MMO in the history of MMOs. Are there problems? Definitely. But it’s an Early Access/Open Beta. If you didn’t expect there to be problems you clearly don’t know what those words mean.
Some companies use Early Access as “My game is done, but I want to call it early access so that if any major bugs are found I can play it off.” So I think a lot of people are starting to expect finished products from Early Access games. That’s not what Early Access is for. That is not why it was created.
They KNOW there are bugs/problems. And they’re trying to fix them. But when you have 1,000 bugs and 50 people to fix them it takes time. They can’t just snap their fingers and ■■■■ out a perfect game. The reason they say ‘soon’ is because if they gave an exact time and couldn’t meet the deadline then they’d have assholes raging on the forums about being lied to. They aren’t even CLOSE to being the only company that does this.
And that’s not to mention that they are still living, breathing human beings with lives outside of work. Do you work 24/7? They need a break. They still have 3 and a half weeks of Early Access left to fix the bugs, just be patient and give them time to get it done. Don’t forget, they don’t owe you anything.
Early Access is basically a donation which is why they offered different levels. You’re saying “Hey, I like what you’re doing, here’s some money to keep doing it!” and they’re saying “Wow, thanks! Want to try this new game early?” If you donate $10 to charity do you kick the door down and demand the dying children serve you drinks because they ‘owe’ you?
