Is this game monetisation as bad as it look?

Hi guys, since I’ve spent quite a few hours into this game I’m now considering investing into ToS to make it my main playing game.

Doing so I’ll do like I always do and get a monthly sub (in this game its in form of token). But beeing a monthly paying customers I expect to be able to play the game without restriction but as I get it, I’ll need to also buy TP in order to buy almost required stuff like the Artisan Magnifier.

I don’t plan to spend more then a token a month but I won’t spend it if its to be stuck behind p2w features.

Almost everything can be bought/sold in Market. Including Magnifiers (they can be acquired ingame without RL cash) and Tokens.

Mostly have to buy CharSlots and some customization (some hair, hairDye, skincolors,…) by yourself.
And sometimes they give these also for free from Events.

Cashshop is not to bad.
Pretty good for free players or low spenders, compared to many games nowadys

I’ve never felt the need to spend money in this game. Everything I have came from hard work and farm, like almost all casual/pve/4fun players. That’s my personal experience tho.
And even when I needed tokens I got’em via events!
Only things I bought were contacts and wigs lol

one thing i hate in game monetization is cosmetics with duration
thank god, tos cosmetic are permanent (only some minor like tbl costume)
thats one think i like about tos cash mine
so dont worry and support the game
another thing is, theres no direct sale of power boost in tp shop.there migh be leticia cube but its gacha and the items inside like anvil and magnifiers are also RNG and they give us lots of this as freebies sometimes

it is either you buy it with your money or with your time

I remember back in the days when free to play games were basically called “shareware” and would be compared as a simple “demo” of the actual game. You could download it, play for a couple hours at most and then you would be blocked by a terminal message saying “if you want to continue, you must pay now”. ToS is heavily into money making with those appealing Goddess Cubes (for char customization) and Leticia Cubes (for useful consumables), but you can always play without them if you want. At least we get the choice.

Same. I spent a lot, but with cosmectics and the tokens (the price is good). I think he wants to be the top 1 player or a very competitive player… I think 99% of the mmorpgs you need to spend a lot of money if you choose this way!
