I mean leaving meteor at lvl 8 just to have lvl 1 prominence and freezing sphere?, seems like a waste of points to me.
It is just for the utility/filler damage. U speak as level 8 or 10 in meteor will make any difference considering it’s terrible scaling through levels (just flat damage which hits once). Proeminence causes burn and can be useful at time. Freezing sphere is good to clean up the mobs which didn’t die from your AoE. None of them are “great”, but having them for utility is better than nothing. It depends on your taste.
Some people go with level 10 meteor and are just fine. Meteor burst damage comes mostly from 400% (which applies for any skill level) and enhance attribute leveling anyway.
