Most swordsmen are going Doppel now for ET.
Having tried a few builds, nothing even comes close to Doppel’s power in PVE. It has the best AOE and single target DPS and only loses in burst damage to certain Shinobi builds.
- Dragoon is nerfed
- Lancer is for PVP
- Fencer is nerfed
- Murmillo can’t AOE well
- Corsair can’t AOE/DPS well
- Shinobis can only burst, after that they’re weak again.
I don’t feel like testing anything else because they don’t come anywhere close to Doppel in the current meta.
The patch is supposed to bring diversity to class builds, but I feel like they’ve actually killed it.
They need to bring a lot of changes to the above classes to make them viable again.
I even turned all my saalus farming swordsmen to Doppel simply because it’s much more efficient and saves a lot more time. Get an average weapon and see #1 every boss fight.
