You can pay 150TP to change it to something else,so it’s not permanent.
I like how there’s almost no confirmation buttons in this game, starting from the very first action.
i find exactly the opposite.

I absolutely hate surnames in MMOs like in FF14. Its just another mess of trying to get the name first type of deal. Wish they would have an option to hide your team name cause I’ve been seeing a lot of players here that have their surnames the same as their first names. Its a pretty confusing concept in this game since they refer surnames as “Team name” instead.
I think they’re still allowing a free name change I think… but I feel like they’re cheating money out of people who are indecisive.

You can hide the character name in the options panel. that way the “Team Names” are the only ones that show
You stick with the team name though, all your characters have the team name so the real uniqueness is really coming from your character name. I say that because… someone took my team name immediately servers came up!!

yea that sucks. but if the character name was the unique name, then everyone would reserve like 4 names each. you would be even less likely to have the name you want.
What irks me is that there is no explanation of WHAT the team name is for, or where it will be displayed…
So now I’m DxDark DxDark because “what the ■■■■ is a Team Name, I’m playing by myself?” is what most people will think, not “Oh, this must be my FAMILY name!”…someone at IMC derped.
They really should change it to “Family Name”
…On a note I’m stuck with a ‘team name’ that means Hate, because I thought it looked cool… yet I’m like really passive and not hateful at all. Dang you persons that took Love and Dawn.

I’m a bit confused. You said you find the opposite, so you’re saying you want more confirmation buttons? Yet you don’t like the confirmation button for reporting bots? @_@
what name were you aiming for anyway ?
it took me about like 1.5 seconds to actually figure out “team name” roughly equals “family name”, with a compromise for people who don’t want to feel forced to RP that all their characters are “family”, because how can i be a leet ubercool Lone Wolf solo, if i’m part of a big mushy happy family?
tell everyone it’s ironic, like the 6’ tall 300 pound bouncer they call “Tiny”, or the dumb as a rock dude nicknamed “Brains” etc

anyway, yea, too many confirmation buttons for actions that shouldn’t need it.
What really gets me is how the “Are you sure you want to block this user?” doesn’t actually say the name of who you’re blocking in the prompt… So if chat just happened to move up a bit when you right clicked, the confirmation box is meaningless.
that’s over. it’s even on the popup that opens when you click the “support” tab.

That’s what I’ve been rolling with, lol. Or I’ll say “Wow it’s pretty crazy that most the shouts are more hateful then the person whose name literally means Hate.”

Yeah, sure ya did…because Smith, Jackson, McCarthy, and McJackass totally equates to a team name in a game with no functions pertaining to family…everyone else in the thread already figured out it was a juxtaposed system to prevent name sniping, but here you are trying to play Mr.bigwillie with your pants down…
