I’m having a pretty major issue that I’m unhappy with, and when I contacted support about it I was basically greeted with a copy/paste form mail reply by someone who obviously did not speak English as their first language and likely had no cultural perspective on what my problem was.
I started playing this game as a new player around this Monday. As a long time Ragnarok Online fan, I instantly fell in love and decided that the game was worth dropping $9USD on for a premium subscription token… What came next left me just absolutely speechless. I found that even as a premiums subscriber, I was still unable to trade or use the marketplace, even for -buying- items, until a 7-day timer was up. I am used to trade and market restrictions in Korean games, but every one other than this one lifts them as soon as you become a subscriber… I have effectively paid money for a service and am being denied 75% of its benefits for a solid week of my paid time, based on a policy that actually does nothing but hinder legitimate players while encouraging botters and RMTers to subscribe dozens of accounts at once and sit on them.
I contacted support, thinking for sure that since I purchased ingame currency and had a payment profile with them and a subscription, they’d lift my restrictions and let me actually play the game… and was responded to with a broken English form mail.
I’m level 75 now on my main after 5 days, and all desire to play has basically left me because I can’t interact with the community to progress myself the ways I need to. I paid hard earned money and the staff apparently doesn’t care one bit.
This is why this game is dying, and why it can’t retain players… I want to love it, I want to stay, but its obvious that nobody on the other end even understands the needs and expectations of international players… It doesnt even seem like we have our own staff to offer meaningful responses. Any reasonable person would have lifted my accounts restrictions since it was obvious I am not an RMTer or bot, instead of telling me why I can’t trade because of other people and saying it was for my own good as a paying customer.
I farmed out a Battle Bracelet in Tenet 1F yesterday and its just basically rotting in my bank until IMC decides the fact I’ve spent $20+ on their game matters at all. And then I’ll have to wait two more days even before I get the money from selling it.
This company needs to learn to respect its customers and follow the most basic of practices that other korean MMOs do, like unrestricting premium players immediately. Its embarassing.
