Does the 30/60-day token timer keep decreasing regardless if we’re playing the game?
It goes down regardless.
it’s measured in “days” not “hours”… this is almost always indicative of being measured in real time, not “playing” time.
imagine if you bought a “1 month” premium, and only played for an hour a day – it would take 2 years to use it all up! even if you played 8h a day, like a full time job, it would still last you 3 months.
cash shop items (and other expirables) usually will indicate if they stop counting down when you log off, and also have much shorter expiration periods. (several hours, to a day or so.)
If you open Character Information (F1) and go over to Character Settings there’s an actual countdown with days/hours/minutes/seconds. But your point still stands.

but then it -does- stand to reason that there’d have to be some way to see the time remaining.
i’m not premium, sadly (anyone wanna buy me a token? lol) so i haven’t seen that myself.
