Is the new card system secretly a huge swordsmen nerf?

i mean it would obviously benefit ranged things more

also what is this nonsense about str giving you block pen?

that sounds like a swordie nerf to me too (in pvp)
archers would destroy you even more

i chortle at all the swordsmen who want buffs

A nerf you have to be joking right? The str gaining block pen can only help str builds that much more now be it Archers or Swordies.

It’s true swordies do need buffs but this overall was a buff on all builds using str. (This would especially help if you happen to find a caster with a shield on helping u to negate some if not maybe most of the shields blocking effects).

Also would help if you are fighting archers with 1h crossbows/bows and shields on, or anything else with a shield.

Also the card system assuming we get it has multiple card types and effects for all classes, NOT JUST archer/wizard/cleric builds.

but if a high str archer was versus a high str swordie the range advantage is still there making him less tanky and he still gets rekt lol

not like they made melee range + cards

Many swordy skills have had their range increased. This coupled with dash and much higher hp may balance archer v swordy out

I think what they’re referring to is the fact that the silence and sleep cards are archer/wizard exclusive respectively. Missile attacks can cause silence, magic attacks can cause sleep, and any attack can cause stun. So a swordie only has access to 1 of these, where archers and wizards have access to 2 which are imo much better than stun.

What is IMCisGreedy trying to say I think is that sure it’s a buff STR give Pen but it also destroys the SW hybrid or tank builds in PVP.

You can’t really guard anymore against physical enemies since you will most likely get hit.However,it also eats up those wizards who runs with Aias shield and think they are safe or those C3 priests with Stone Skin.

Again I am trying to see if that’s what he meant.

i am just saying i think making ranged cc spam with armor pen will make swordsmen worse XD
