I’m rank 3 lv 14, so I’m about to enther rank 5, I’m thinking on take Paladin just because this skill.
I dont care about how will affect the enemy, but how much this worth on defending me against magic or magic effects (like freeze of Cryomancers).
Any magician or cleric can help me here?

In itself? Not much aside from the complete nullifcation chance to not take any elemental damage. It also doesn’t block dark attacks mainly from Bokor Hex/Effigy which also debuffs your magic defense and healing at the same time being a counter. Also I -think- does not stop status ailments and just blocks damage so you can still be frozen.
If you went a full SPR/Con build? Possibly with the right class combo of like Paladin/Pardoner or Oracle sitting in a barrier and stacking some pretty obscure gear like Sage Wall for MDEF. But it’s still eventually something that can be countered with like Rogue’s capture to pull up your barriers and stuff eventually if you went comp meta.
Thanks man, I think you is completelly right. I think I will take any other class and forget that, because the whole point of I becoming a paladin was thinking about this skill, but now I saw that worth only on “Player vs Monster”, but is useless on PVP, where 2000 of damage, or much more, remove only 50 of damage is a joke.

if you want to tank magic, oracle counter spell negate all magics
There’s an attribute on the forecast to negate damage like resist elements too I think.
yes, it negates everything hit you at low chance iirc
