Is Powerleveling a THING in Tree of Savior?

With the whole +/- 5 level thing in the TOS Exp System…

Is it possible to power level a character if your friend being 120 comes to you to help?
Seems a little impossible granted that the EXP gap for monster exp would be too high. Then again we have share by

Equal, Individual and by Level.

So each monster should equally divide the EXP between both characters.

How does the EXP Share of Equal and by level work?
And if they do share, is it possible that my friend drags me to his lvl 120 area and powerlevel me to lvl 1 to 50 in 10 minutes?

As reference of what i mean you can read

and

Thanks in advance, I’d really like to know.

I heard that if your level is higher or lower than 17 level of the mobs.
You can’t get experience from mobs.

All I can tell you is that XP is on a personal basis that means if a 120 and a lvl 90 party up and you kill lvl 90 mobs the xp of the low guy will not be affected as per my observations.

By that very fact alone powerleveling is possible if someone feels like carrying you.

It’s 24, actually. Every level past 5 that you are over/under the mob’s level grants you 5% less exp.

I’ve been once party with lv150+ monk while i’m lv 40 in Tenet church doing glizadon quest. when he kill mob, I still get EXP, so I think it’s possible if the leecher is within mobs lv range

Player A (level 50) party with player B (lvl 150).
If they grind at lvl 30-70 area, player A will get exp, but not player B.
If they grind at lvl 130-170 area, player B will get exp but not player A.
Right?? @_@

As stated some time ago by another user, there is no exp penalty for monsters higher than your level.

But for powerleveling i clearly have to say no.

Tried this with a friend: DPS and Healer (lvl 160) party up with him (lvl 70) and went to bee farm for an exp grind. Guess what? The level 70 char got 0.1% per mob, almost the same as if he was killing the mobs on his level. (But without running around, screaming in fear of getting oneshot by a mob)

So if you want to powerlevel a friend go to a map where he is progressing and beat the sh!t out of the mobs appropriate to his level. (faster kills = faster exp)

Are you sure? Because everytime I went and grinded way higher mobs it turned out to be a total failure XP wise.

I’m not sure if lv 200+ pt with support-class lv 100 and grind at lv 100 or enter dungeon90 as Duo can call PowerLvling. (Lv200 might burst out mob in dungeon90 faster than 4 lv100)

The information on those websites are really old. I would hesitate to rely on them.

As far as I know (need others to confirm), when kOBT came about, some changes were made.

(1) I think there’s still an exp penalty if the mob is 5 below you, increasing as the difference widens.
(2) There’s now an exp penalty if the mob is 11 and above you, up to some cap of 20%.
(3) Party level difference has no penalty (it used to be 20 and above?).
(4) Mobs 10 and above get additional stats in combat against you, making it much harder to fight.
Source: vyne’s game mechanics.

Rabbee/Honeybean (lvl 160 mob): 261 exp - > 20% = 52 exp.
Exp requirement at lvl 60: Approx 150k. 0.1% is about 150 exp.
Assuming that there are many exp bonuses, 52 exp becoming 150 exp seems viable. So it is accurate.

So ‘powerleveling’ is technically impossible, the closest way would be the high level helping to kill low level mobs. A high level killing high level mobs would have little effect as the exp scaling is linear. Did you know that Egnome,a lvl 48 mob, gives more exp than those Bees? Hahaha

You can sort of powerlevel your friends but you have to go to mobs around their level and kill them. They’ll get full party exp from you killing them if you’re in party.

Just leave party exp on equal.

No it is not, even grinding is not a thing in this game.
This game purely relies on exp card.

you wont be power grinding until you hit demon prison and alemeth / storage… and even at that time everyone is gonna be within the level range of those monsters… rarely see lower level people because they just get 1 shot by mobs

im sure its possible at alemeth forest because theres afk spots… big lemon thing with a ladder attached to it… etc

I tried as a lv20 to level in a 250 area with my friend. I would get XP but the XP was reduced significantly. I then tried at maps 20, 30, and 40 lvl higher than me and the restriction was the exact same… There was no real way of quickly reaching higher levels…

As far as grinding parties are considered, I do believe it’s possible so long as you find a competent plvling group… Elite mobs 250 still gave me decent enough xp so if I were to grind a lv20 in Storage or even ERD, hoping that I wouldnt get killed every hit, I would still have gotten decent XP especially while afking…

Had a lvl 140 diev in Royal chapel grinding the event monsters being lvl 75 at that time I still get considerable exp

Makes sense, I guess it cn work in a specific way, but no taking me to high level areas (did try this wiht a buddy, lvl 20 and in a lvl 60 area, didnt work)

Thanks to everyone, specially

Monster exp doesn’t really change much from 50-250. So there is even less of a point to waste time in high level zones.

I wonder if there is some dude, just doing it for fun or science; and just swinging away at mobs all day totally ignoring quests and xp cards.

Usually there is that 1 guy just doing it for “science”.

Edit: he wouldnt be powerleveling though nvm

I’ve seen it done. Find a sorc and buy them some pots.

You guys miss out something here, I believe the monster exp curve is pretty flat, there is almost no incremental exp between low level and high level monster, that’s why one of the guy here mention about his level 70 char gain only as much as killing monster at his level.

The penalty is not to prevent a high level char powerlevel a low level char, it is the other way around, because the curve is flat, penalty is to prevent high level char just breeze through low level monster for easy exp.
