With the nerf to Doppel’s Cyclone, do you think replacing it with the one rank of Cataphract will still be viable? You get mounted combat, which you can use all your skills with the exception of Long Stride in HOP 2. You get that mobility, and Earth Wave, as contrast to Deeds of Valor and Cyclone.

not really, doppel with DoV is still good
also, the nerf was with a lvl 15 DoV
with lvl 5 DoV the difference is very minor. going doppel c1 will still provides you with the most damage, cataphract c1 is good if you want to move faster, but not better for damage.
swordsman c2 can also be a good choice if you want, higher lvl pain barrier will surely help vs bosses
and restrain will help deal with annoying mobs.
