Is my playstyle outdated?

I still tend to run every quest in every zone and complete the kill count on every monster for bonus xp cards.

but considering im level 166 and im still catching up in level 120 zones i feel like this is no longer necessary and i could have grinded myself a lot more xp doing these ‘free dungeons’ for the same amount of time.
is that true?

i still have this old playstyle from when the game just came out lol

what is a “free dungeon”?

During my first time leveling a char, that’s what I mostly did too. Slow? Yes. But I think it’s essential to let the games really sink into you and just plainly have fun

Right now dungeons and Mercenary Post give so much experience, it’s incredible, you should always quest, don’t get me wrong, but first thing of the day should be daiies. Then you can do main questline or secondary quests. Taht’s what i believe is most efficient right now.

i saw this new dungeon map in Gytis settlement. well i dunno if its new, but i was lead there later again trough a quest and unlocked the tutorial window for it:

xp in there seemed to be pretty good

That’s one of the hunting grounds. Honestly, your term is not far off.

It’s a bit outdated yes, but I wouldn’t say it’s ‘wrong’

Well, the kill count for low level mobs aside, those you outlevel too fast + the cards are worth too little really.

But doing all the quests/talking to all NPCs is usually one way to find some of the hidden quests (like the ones for mystical cube materials)

So I’d say stop the kill count hunting, but do try to complete all the quests that you can.

alright thanks for the tips all  the kill count takes up a lot of time yeah

oh so they’re basically designated grind areas instead of us grinding at places like dina bee farm?

If I want to level fast I do dungeons. Especially with bonus exp events they level up your character so fast waypast your quest zones which is nice.

However even tho I sometimes like faster leveling I still go back to even way lower level maps to do the quests since I genuinely enjoy doing them from time to time and I love having all the quests completed and it bugs me to leave even an annoying repeatable quest behind even when it wouldn’t be necessary to do it. But that’s just me I guess. Grinding can be quite fun too when farming for gear or mats for example. There’s also the daily quests which provide some exp they’re ok to do too.

Experiment, try out different things.
