Is it too soon to worry about high level contents?

I haven’t played on Korea server. But I heard that people mostly do dungeons and daily missions for lvl.

It’s nice to see ToS offer more contents for party to bring players together, but personally I found it’s a bit too much. I just want to see random people around me or find some useful rare items for my build by checking monster drop list and farm them, instead try to rush same boring dungeon as fastest as possible everyday.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I remember that most powerful items, recipes are drop from dungeon, aren’t they? I just hope IMC will bring more contents to outdoor zones since they said the core gameplay will be there instead of dungeon.

I keep expect ToS will be polish just like RO, it was bad when it first came out but keep improve afterward.

I know IMCgames worked so hard to bring ToS to us all, it’s amazing and I really appreciate it, but I fear the game can’t satisfy most expectation from players.

Not all of them. Recipes from world bosses are powerful. In order to craft those items, you will need to spend your time in both dungeons and outdoor zones to get the materials.

Dungeons are made in order to make your levelling easier. That doesn’t make it the core gameplay itself. Besides, you have daily quests for outdoor zones. You will also spend your time to collect silvers and materials from outdoor mobs.

At least on iCBT it wasn’t like that, some recipes dropped from open dungeon monsters (Sage Wall dropped from monsters on the 4th floor of Royal Mausoleum if i am not mistaken the map name), Roxxona set dropped on Roxxona Open dungeon.

The game itself still far from complete, the max planned level is 500 so there are still lots of things to be done, many quests are missing during certain level ranges, and at 200 there is no quests.

If the plan is to make the good recipes only available through specific instances then yes, but in all honesty, i think the way it was being done was fine.

Thanks for answers

I don’t think good drop from world boss is enough since I found it’s very difficult to find out a world boss in iCBT 2 (you have to camp a map 7/24 or someone call you when world boss pop up) not mention you need a group to actually contribute damage, if you don’t deal enough damage, no drop for you.

I need those “exciting” and “satisfy” feeling from rare items/recipe that drop from normal monsters to actually “hold” me in a zone.

would be nice if they add more Unique items that give both positive and negative satus to allow you master certain roles/abilities but give you weakness as well.

To soon tm.

xD

Earth Tower and Guild Raids just went in a few weeks ago.
Stuff will slowly come~

I hope so. Dunno If my build could be viable for Earth tower :frowning:

Not all builds are. Which is good.

Noob Rush Easy level builds will have a harder time there!

Peltasta, Sapper, Ranger, Elementalist, Trauma seem to be really good atm.

And which is ultra super op. Barrier.

But carefull. There’s mobs there that steal skills too xD… So you need to mix your party for all the floors.

Floor 1 looks easy.
Floor 2 is okay.
Floor 3 might be trouble.
Floor 4 … will get any ground target spells to kill you … i have seen healers kill they’re mates with heal tiles … cause they got stolen.

HAvent seen a video of floor 5~7 yet.

But there’s clear advantages to hard aoe dps, that isn’t a magic circle.

Sounds hella fun the tower lol.

Yeah.

And people who go in at level 260.
To find themself against mobs that are BLOOD RED NAMED … cry it’s op.

xD

It’s a 280 mob area. With no drops/exp for kills. Just loot chance for floor clears later on.

One of the best and rarest classes to see.
Would be Traumaturge.

Buffs everyones Matk/Atk … and can make mobs atk with 75% less atk for a duration.

It’s so nice … q.q!

Yes people do spend time doing missions and dungeons to level, because they offer the most amount of EXP for the shortest amount of time.

For the casual majority, or for people with not a lot of gaming time, this is mostly what they login every day to do.

But that does not mean that is all you do. If you have time to play after completing your missions/dungeons/dailies (which really doesn’t take all that long with a good party), then it is recommended to gear hunt. Not all gear drops in dungeons, but definitely some really good recipes do. You still need to hunt mobs and world bosses, and you can still grind with an optimal party in 3 star maps for exp and silver.

Note, that I’m only mentioning things for general progression.

There also raids, and various other guild related things to do, and PvP.

Between PvP/dungeon/dailies/missions, most players that have limited game play time don’t do other things.

Hope they adjust PVP. I want to participate in PVP anytime.

It’s still in the Alpha phase so I’m guessing when they adjust it more you would be able to Q whenever you want.

well guild wars are open world pvp.

so join a warmongering guild then?

I heard level penalty apply in pvp as well, is this true? If it’s true, please remove it as soon as possible, being underlevel in pvp is already a disadvantage.

What about content for solo players?

One of my fellow countrymen said there is no point to make a PVE build at all since you mostly end up with dungeon and party with 600% bonus exp anyway, so you just build for PVP but still extremely fine in PVE because of party. On another hand if you build for PVE you will become a sandbag in PVP.

I hope those contents in future will solve this problem :frowning:, I want to make a pve build for summoner

People who are under lv 200 will get to 200 and people who are above 200 will go back to lv 200 (in arena). Being underleveled in arena makes you at disadvantage solely because of you have weaker skills and don’t have access to higher tier skills.

Depends what kind of build you want to play and what kind of PvP environment you are talking about.
I don’t think Archer has any specific PvE or PvE build because most of them are great in both situations. Same goes with Cleric and Wizard.

The difference of PvE-PvP builds only affects Swordsman IMO.

That’s not quite right.

For example, DEX is a high value stat in pvp, but having high DEX is usually not all that good/efficient in pve.

You can overcome your shortcomings in pve with gear, but you can’t do so in pvp.

There are optimal builds to in earth tower, but those builds can be suboptimal for pvp.

Your best bet is to have more than one character. It’s extremely beneficial in this game.

It’s great to keep a look out for the end-game but I wouldn’t say that anyone has to ever be discouraged by the grind to get there. So farm the dungeons you want, skip the grind some days and hunt your loot, whatever you like.

Just keep in mind that over half the people that start the game won’t even make it to the end. While there are perks to hitting cap sooner it isn’t a requirement to enjoy the game. But, if anything, I would suggest planning your character path carefully around end-game so when you do get there you will have plenty of things to bring to the table instead of just being really good at grinding lol

Not sure if it’s a bug or intended, but those above level 200 don’t actually get scaled down to 200. You get a level advantage once you are over 200. This might be because when the arena was created, the max level cap was 200, and it hasn’t been updated since.

Yeah, been planned my build since iCBT 1, tried it and found out it’s horrible (wiz C2), so I gonna roll pyro C1 instead (need damage for boss fights anyway)

Unfortunately I found out sorcerer’s boss card feature pretty incomplete (because of temple shooter) and the class itself conflict with SPR. I wish I can somehow get rid of mana boost from SPR,

Meanwhile Necromancer’s Skeleton move to C2, people keep suggest to pick C2 sorcerer because C1 is unreliable, but I hate its mana drain. Sorcerer C3 is boring.
