Is half Support half dps a bad idea?

I am coming from ff14 where i was a scholar(healer with some dmg), so my question is, does healing and magic dmg scale with the same stat?

Is there any class i cant miss if i want to be support/magic dps?

Is this even viable or would just suck? Any recomendention for half healer half dps?(it doesnt have to be magic dps)

Healing is a type of Magic so it scales with INT or Magic Attack IIRC. Only Clerics can heal and have magic damage but their auto attacks are physical. Half Healer/Half Support

Eh, a really random and quick build is Cleric C1 > Priest C2 > Sadhu C3. Priest can buff, heal, and revive/prevent death while Sadhu has the Out of Body skill which basically makes your auto attacks magic attacks so it’s good for an INT. Don’t take this build as 100% the best since it took me 5 seconds to pick it but it’s kinda what you’re asking for with Healing/Support and Magic DPS.

If you go Cleric you’re automatically either Support or off-support. Due to high cooldowns in this game, I’d actually advice not to roll a full support as you’ll have a lot of downtime between casting your buffs and heals, leaving you useless for that time. Most buffs also don’t scale have a long duration and can be casted “on the fly”, which makes a hybrid support/dps an attractive option.

So in short, it’s a good idea.

Your healing skill as a cleric is also a part of your DPS.
Heal and Cure do damage.

If you grab Cleric, you’re basically already support+dps.
Don’t worry about the build in specific and just try out certain classes.

If you do want to concern yourself with being optimal even during CBT… you’ll need someone who actually knows these classes extensively to tell you. (hints @Kiyoshiro / @FatePGN )

Well, the only Cleric classes I’ve played are Cleric 3, Krivis 2, Sadhu 1, and Monk 1, but I’ll just talk about Cleric and Krivis since I have the most experience with those two.

Cleric 3 is pretty good on the support side with some really good Holy element DPS. The best skills would be the first 4 you start out with: Heal, Cure, Safety Zone, and Deprotected Zone. Like some people have already said, Heal also deals damage, but obviously you will find yourself using it to actually heal more than attack with it. Cure would be your main DPS skill as it can deal so many hits at higher levels, but the major weaknesses to this skill and Heal is that neither can hit flying enemies, and their range is really small. Safety Zone is a great defensive skill to have since it can completely block damage for a set number of hits, but it can’t block status effects and you can also get knocked out of it. Finally, Deprotected Zone is helpful for STR-based classes.

Krivis is kind of bad on the support side, but they do have an amazing DPS skill called Zaibas. Zaibas is a lightning element spell that also has a ton of hits the more you level it up and it can also hit flying enemies. Personally, I think it’s currently one of the best magic DPS skill in the game despite its long 30 second cooldown and slightly short range. As for support skills, Daino and Divine Stigma are the only ones really worth taking, but Zalciai has some uses if you get its Magic Amplification attribute.

As a little side note, combining a high level Cure and Zaibas will most likely result in extreme overkill. I’ve been able to destroy every quest boss in a minute or less, all the way to Lv 135, with only these two skills. Just having them made the entire game look extremely easy, but I expect some kind of nerf in the future. The best part though, is that my character only had Lv 10 Cure and Zaibas, and was a STR/INT build that was aiming for Monk, so I can only imagine what it’s like having a Lv 15 Cure and Zaibas with full INT…

Well, I might have went a bit off-topic there, and I’m not sure if I answered your question, but that’s pretty much what I have to say.

Thanks for the tips, if i get a key i will try to build separate str and int builds to see if that will be better than hybrid builds

A lot of classes from Wizard’s branch are support oriented, tho none can heal.

Base Wizard has AoE damage reduction debuff, AoE sleep, AoE shield for party and a knock up with Earthquacke.
Cryomancer freezes, Linker “multiplies” damage, Psychokino has displacement skills, Thaumaturge buffs damage alot, Chronomancer with speed ups and downs…

Wizards are like 60% support and 40% DPS to be honest.
