caryle mausoleum - royal mausoleum - dungeon 90

uhm, my second character is 220 and hasn’t grinded for a minute with lots of maps and quests left to do

I wonder where this grinding meme pre 220-230 comes from.

Fedimian Suburbs are not that bad. I mean, its farei from good and even worst than questing, but if grind is what you want… There it is.

I hate to grind. Got lvl 240 without it and now I do cuz I need to, but its up to you.

Just get kill achievements as you go and you will barely need xp cards. You will get some good drops too doing it this way.

There are 2 ways to level in this game.

1.) Speed Quest your way to level. Use Exp Cards.
2.) Complete the Adventure Journal to 100% while questing. Save Exp Cards.

If you go with the latter you will find that you are waayyyyy higher level than you should be in your current area of questing.
I’m talking 15-25 levels above the area zone and that is with you using 0 exp cards.

For instance if you complete all of the adventure journal monsters up to west sialia to mines then you will be around level 40+/- 5 or so by the time you go into Srautus Gorge.

You can save your exp cards all the way; and if you get stuck you want to grind anyways so find places for it.

My cata at level 140 has over 1200exp cards saved up.
Contributed to my quitting of this character however… It just gets so tedious and long…

Cant confirm to your 2nd statement. It works in the beginnings, even better when switching between orsha and klaipedia, but there is a point where you either start using cards or kill mobs beyound adventure journal limits.

I had a similar experience leveling my sadhu. Barely needed xp cards, lvl 145.

Being overleveled mainly happens at the beginning though around where he mentioned. Once you hit 50 and do the dungeon you are overleveled again for a while though… Never had to go to orsha with this char.

I know the feeling but quest are a “soft” mandatory. As many story quests reward stats or weight potions. Other quests that give stats are often at the end of large chains.

after making 3 characters i’ll rather grind my way to 200+ than doing the same senseless quests over again (one chracter 179 another 229 and making another one, quests are annyoing as hell after the first time.)
