Just wondering, with the increased level cap, is ET significantly easier to the point people are starting random groups and getting ET gear? I haven’t heard any word yet on new items despite the level cap raise to 330, but I figured if that makes ET much more accessible, it makes sense to save silver to upgrade those items instead.

You are getting too hype for this. One of the VonFreya said that ppl in ktos are still grinding to max lvl. New exp graph has release shows that it went skyrocket after lvl 300
Even so, being 20 levels above the content should make it considerably easier I would imagine, especially with a few levels into R8s
Lolopanther weapon takes longer actual active hours played (like several hundreds even if lucky, more like a thousand on average if I recall correctly) than most sane people would care to spend time on even if they’re powerful enough to beat ET floor 20.

IIRC, not one lolopanther wrap exists on ktos. Doing floor 20 of ET once? Fun! 100 times or more needed for wrap? At 2 hours average per run? Noooooooope.
Unless the new lvl penalty makes you do more damage to mobs,i don’t see the meta changing that much.
Mobs still have 400k hp, the only difference is that a little more builds will be able to complete,we may start seeing Fencer and Dragoon on SR role aswell
A change to kTOS made obtaining fragments a bit of a hassle. Previously you’d gain anywhere from 2-6 fragments per any boss kill inside the tower, meaning you were able to generate fragments faster than essences. A change made it so that you gain 1 fragment from Pyroego, the first boss, 2 from Gosarius, the second boss, 3 from Turtai, the third boss, and 4 fragments from G’bb, the floor 20 boss.
The short of it is that people who did ET a lot before the change will have plenty of fragments and only need to worry about getting essences, which should be easier with R8. The people who start doing ET after the change will have a shortage of fragments, and it’ll take a noticeably longer amount of time to get items, even if you can afford to re-roll essences.
@jchang10931 - At least one group in KR has obtained enough cubes and fragments to complete their weapons, as evidenced by the original 20/F team clearing party being in possession of the Lolopanther Pistol.

I see, sadly I am one of those people. I guess I’ll stop worrying about the lolpanther gear and focus on upgrading the best I can get now and hope they just keep releasing new items (as you imagine they would). Though considering the level cap increase, assuming they take the route of other MMOs where new post 280 gear would be more powerful than ET gear, I’d also expect ET gear to become more obtainable, but who knows.
Wait, he had a lolopanther weapon before clearing floor 20? I thought that wasn’t possible since floor 20 is the only cube which drops weapon mats in the first place. Maybe my memory is off.
@Lionstrider - You’d hope so. In any case, Lolopanther with 330 has become the second strongest set of gear, trailing behind Solmiki gear. The update however features several items to level 270 that serve as a gap-closer between non-ET gear and ET gear.
@jchang10931 - I mean the guy has the pistol now. He made a video not long ago with rank 8 holding a transcend stage five +8 Lolopanther Pistol. Two months ago they had half the essences they needed to complete their weapon.
Are you referring to the stuff we got like the new recipes that drop from 200 dungeon or was there other new gear introduced on kTOS with the Rank 8 patch? (and if so, do you know where I can find a list/info on it?)
Like I predicted, all the time wasted on ET 20F just to be overtaken by a higher level set of eqs infinitely easier & cheaper to get.
Very unlikely considering how insanely strong SR3 looks to be. I don’t think anyone will be coming close to SR’s AoE damage any time soon.
Anyway, ET weapons are such a ridiculous time sink I doubt they’ll ever be worth it. ET was a failed experiment in my opinion and I hope they don’t make more content like it in the future.
