Is backstab DMG bugged?

Yes but if the bleed covers up the DMG in 15 seconds at max attribute you might be sacrificing burst DMG for more consistent DMG.

I doubt the damage attribute bonus of backstab will actually affect massive bleeding. Those are 2 seperate source of damage.

Also, like I mentioned, it never crits, the damage is retardedly low. I’d rather spam Backstab every 10s than every 20s with a puny damage bleed.

Would still want to see picture to compare to my broadhead bleed DMG, would be very grateful.

yes, or your DMG will suffer.

Though @Nekokimi screens clearly show that something isn’t working right.
Backstab5 (tosbase) + 550 ATK alone is 1450 DMG. Add the critical bonus and the DMG should be way over what is shown on theses screens.

Maybe it’s a bug exclusive to its server…

Backstab5 with 167 STR got 3200 per hit vs a boss with leather armor

it should be much higher i guess, 6K dmg is just not worth it

Ticks at 2s intervals. This is absolutely horrible.

Kinda feel the same. Even though I can pull off 4k+4k ones. My normal attack spam from Running Shot has alot more burst than Backstab. Yes, I’m comparing bursts within the cast time of 2 Backstabs. I can fit in several normal attacks with Running Shot in just a few sec.

Not sure if IMC ninja nerfed rogue to oblivion. Not to mention, Vendetta doesn’t scale anymore with class rank stat bonuses.

I know karacha got nerfed from 4x to 3x…but it seems they ninja nerfed rogue as well.

I don’t know. Maybe it means it does more damage if the enemy moves alot more with the debuff.

Rogue is pretty much stuck with Karacha set even till Lv280. It’s pretty stupid that IMC balanced rogue around that gear set.

I would’ve been fine if it was just backstab and karacha. But to nerf how Vendetta’s STR getting bonus from class rank is just uncalled for.

Disappointing really, although, Rogue real dmg comes out of sneak hit, not backstab.

I kinda based my build around A1 R3 F1 R2.

Sneak Hit is indeed really nice since it infinitely scales. There will be a point where pure DEX won’t provide even 90% crit rate at higher levels due to the crit rate formula.

Still, the class should work as a whole with it’s skillset. I think we should create a proper thread for Rogue’s stealth nerfs and how it massively affect it’s performance.

My build is Archer > Quarrel Shooter C3 > Rogue C3. Pretty straightforward. Since pure STR builds have bad evasion rate, I need Burrow so I can attack while being ignored.

Yeah seems legit, my original plan was QS3, but my ping cant afford it.
I went for Ranger 3 instead.

I did pick F1 to mix in for vendetta and massive bleeding.

And honestly im very pleased with the numbers, broadhead bleeding ticks for 2k+ in 0.5 sec intervals on level 159, with 75% uptime.
Crossfire hits hard and now going for barbed.

Regarding karacha, im almost sure that once content above 280 unlocks, there will be recipies that upgrades karacha while retaining the bonus.

if IMC ninja nerfed backstab, then this class from C2 onward would be one terrible mistake…

not to mention the Karacha set that does not easy to comeby

yeah, C3 is questionable, since sneak hit 10/10 or even 7/10 is enough to be 100% uptime.

Only vendetta remains a good option.

srsly, the X3 karacha nerf is enough, why did they stealth nerf backstab even more i dont understand.

The reason why I didn’t go for Archer C2/3 for Kneeling + Running is because there’s an atk spd cap. My friend is planning to go Chrono C2, I always play with him so I’ll almost reach atk spd cap w/o Kneeling. Sneak Hit also requires you to be mobile thus it has the perfect synergy with Running Shot, that’s what I thought which ended up with this straightforward build. This is getting long, these stuffs are supposed to be on my incoming QS C3 + Rogue C3 guide in the future lol

Anyways, about the attack speed problems with high ping. It’s the packet losses. The thing is, I play at 260-300ms w/o gaming VPN (WTFast). With WTFast, I don’t have packet losses anymore and I’m stable at 250ms. Amazingly, this also maximized(maybe almost?) my attack speed when using Running Shot. I’ll try recording a video how fast I attack even at 250ms ping. It’s really all thanks to WTFast.

Did you know about Feint + Barrage combo? Apparently, it makes Barrage do 2 hits per arrow, that’s a total of 10 hits. Not sure if this is legit or a bug. It’s quite popular now on KR.

I do think Rogue has good synergy with DoT classes since DoT classes barely relies on DEX or crit rate thus mostly going high STR builds. STR build is suggested on rogues, so it’s a good synergy.

C3 is just about Burrow. If you don’t see Burrow necessary, then I also advice not to go C3 as well.

im not sure abt feint + barrage so i decided to go for AR3 > SC1 > Ro2

Lvling an archer with almost no AoE dmg was a painful exp, but i made it through without grinding much.

I was hoping for good single target dmg from backstab and it failed me so hard that i decided to make a new char and go to other classes. :cry:

1 last question to you about massive bleeding.

When attacking 2 timees with backstab, does the dot stacks or refresh itself?
