I have a very strong character, sw1-pelt1-hop3-doppel1 35 con/rest str 400 str atm, lvl 200, im wearing a decently refined brandish + venom and wanted to go for doppel c2/c3 but reading the 2h req for zucken and redel i dont know what to do

i dont see the synergy here, why is cyclone not needing this but those 2 ?
'cause Doppels are specialized in wielding 2h swords. Historically speaking, their trademark weapon is a Zweihander which is a 2hand sword.
so i wonder if cyclone 15 its worth getting in rank 8 as I plan to use spears even if 2h (if the best is to go dragoon 1-dragoon 2) or 1h, 15 finestra was the whole point of going hop3
you’ll have better synergy with dragoon moving forward. doppel c1 is already good enough. you’ll just be gimping your build if you take doppel until c3.
you can still use dragoon skills even if you are wearing 1h/2h spears.
yeah but at that point i would be nerfing myself if i dont go 2h spear beacuse dragoon atribute is that
only against large monsters. you’ll have weapon swap anyway. and its really up to you if you want to use 2h spears, your skills would still work anyway. you’ll be tankier with 1h spear + shield and you’ll be more on the offensive if you use 2h spear. just switch whatever is needed, or just go 2h spear all the way. its not really much of a dilemma
it is only a guess for me, they made cyclone and by that doppel1 all weapon simple to allow some builds to take doppel as rank 6 path without the need to follow the 2 hand, a good example of it is the main spear build, it ends at rank 5 with hop3, so they would need a filler for 6 and as you can check there is not spear class at rank 6 , so they can take doppel and continue on spear path as 7.
this is of course not proof enough , but is a good theory at least and i believe in it.
in the end DOPPEL1 is by far the best “filler” rank for any dps build and the rank1 alone gives so much damage, that i believe that this is exactly why IMC allowed it to be all free, so any class can take it be it at rank 6 alone, or let’s say at rank 9 for example a fencer, if there is no more rapier classes and so on, if you look at the nature of the skills itself DOV double pay cyclone and so on. , it can “adapt” it self in any build that focus on damage and this is the reason itself, after all we won’t be having “only” dps classes in future ranks, there must be a gap and this gap will may come earlier or later.
in the case of the best spear build for pve for example, it comes at rank 6 itself.
about the two-one hand spear talk , is true that it have more damage in the long run using two hand , but do not neglect a good one hand plus shield, it can do really good as well, since you would only be losing the attribute bonus, and it a lot of situation having a shield with spear is good as well and since you have petal you must always remember that not always you will be there for damage only and true to be told the one hand spear have far better stats than two hand, the only thing going for two hand is the attribute.
