Noobs like me got confused when we see so many guide which always teach you should pick highlander for the mastery.
Especially my build is all dex , so…
Is this mastery useless when in late game play?
You have to keep in mind that it is not 50% increase to the final attack, but a 50% increase to the crit attack stat in your stat window.
This makes the scaling quite poor at the cost of 1 class circle which is fighting for Peltasta utility and evasion
Going full Dex just because is the new meta isn’t advisable, especially when IMC suddendly does buff/nerf things on a sudden, in your case I think it is still worth it cuz you will get crit dmg from most 300+ 2h swords making that crit damage 50% highter seems good, who knows? maybe they will buff 2h sword mastery later on and it might give crit rate or else!

Yeah thats what I mean because in the lategame, dis attribute does almost no improvement . Even I can go like 3000 ca , dis attribute only provide 1500 ca more. So thats why I prefer to go sw2 for restrain
I mean this attribute really a noob trap bro.
If go all str so less critical rate.
If go all dex so less critical attack.
Lets see in the late game , Assuming we can have 3000 ca from gems and equipments ( This is very hard to reach i guess)
So dis attribute only give you 1500 more damage when you hit critical
So… sw2 restrain and 5 secs more painbarrier much better
If you really want to make up for the use of restrain and pain barrier I would suggest you to go SwordmanC3 HighlanderC1 BarbarianC1 DoppelC3 Because right now this is Tree of knockbacks and the buff to pain barrier makes you get 90% pain barrier uptime and highter restrain duration is always welcomed, barbarian buffs as it is right now isn’t such a big thing to be honest and all you really need from barbarian is Cleave debuff + Zwerchhau debuff for 100% more slash dmg on cyclone
