If you have a discord server and don’t like the annoyance of tracking spawns the old fashion way(s), then here’s perhaps a better option!

Introducing Talt-Bot. The boss timer tracking discord-bot. It is complete with these features:

  • Simple to use commands
  • 10 minute pre-spawn warning messages
  • Multi-channel spawn tracking
  • A roles based trust system (so only trusted people can report kills)
  • Server isolation, your timers are never visible from another discord server

Full disclosure. I play on Klaipeda only, I am in the “BananaSquad” guild at the time of this update (previously with “Eternal Arcana”).

I promise that neither I or anyone affiliated with me will try to steal your boss timers through Talt-Bot. I need neither money or items, though I am bored and kinda lonely. I want to make a few more friends in the general community and this is my way of trying to stand out.

If you like the bot and would like to invite me to your discord, or perhaps bring me along to a boss kill. I would really appreciate it.

Talt-Bot is down for emergency maintenance. Discord broke compat with the APIs he was built on.

I will be bringing him back online again soon with more features and a few bug fixes.

::UPDATE::
Service restored. Two new features were added

  • Kill location reporting (so you will know where not to go for multi-floor bosses)
  • Kill clearing (for those times when you accidentally reported for the wrong channel)
  • Marionette was being reported on a 2 hour spawn cycle, this has been corrected to the proper 4 hours

::UPDATE2::
I’ve been told that there was a problem of the bot repeating itself multiple times. An undocumented breaking change in the API basically turned my lil child here into agent smith… The bug has been squished.

How does it work? Peaple have to report the boss location?

If memory serves, you need to be the server owner to invite a bot to the server.

People do have to report when and what they killed, the location is optional. If you don’t report it, it won’t track it. So for things like dullahan while you can report it, it’s unecessary since it only spawns in 1 place.

An update was deployed for Talt-Bot, you can now configure when, and more importantly, on which channel it should forewarn you about spawns. I’ve also taught it how to talk using TTS.

To use these features try out the “warn” command

Don’t want to turn on TTS? write “@Talt-Bot warn 10” (for warn 10 minutes before spawn)

When you’ve done this, he will start broadcasting only to the channel on which you have sent the message. For all of you who have trouble setting up perms, I expect this will let you get broadcasts under control. However, remember, this lil guy will still gleefully tell anyone who can talk to it all about your boss timers. So you may still wanna box him away somewhere safe.

To ensure TTS and other features work correctly, you need to ensure that his role has at least these permissions on the channel that you want him broadcasting in

Other notable changes:

  • Abomination’s spawn timer has been set to 2 hours (i was told this is the case)
  • Fixed an issue where reboots & hotfixes would cause it to not broadcast warnings
  • I’m no longer part of the Eternal Arcana guild, I’m now with BananaSquad, so if you don’t trust them… kick the bot? But honestly, have I stolen anyone’s timers yet? No

Just letting everyone who had the not-channel-1 problem is now fixed. Your channel 2, 3 … etc pre-spawn messages will work properly again.

I’m happy to see that there’s now more than 10 discord servers actively relying on talt-bot for help keeping track of their boss timers. I hope the little one has been working hard for each of you.

I am thinking of adding some new features to the little one, I have a few easy to do things i can think of on the top of my head, please let me know which you feel is more important. And if you haven’t already invited him to your server, which would convince you to do so.

  • A web site that works with your phone’s browser so you can get notifications on your phone
  • Guinea pig feeding & dilgille watering notifications
  • Ability to share timers with other discord servers of your choosing
  • Something else? (explain)

PS: The bot will be down for maintenance tonight during regular game maintenance to address a bug that has prevented it from working after being invited to servers, and failing to do anything if it has been given a nickname

@Velcro the bot have one bug … all bosses show 3 hours for respawn pls fix for 4 hours and dullahan for 2 hours … have fix? i waiting for fix thx
