"Interview - Necromancer Master" Quest

Hello.

I am currently trying to do the quest “Interview - Necromancer Master” and I’m having a problem with one step of the quest.

I’ve tried everything I can think of and couldn’t figure out what to do. I also searched this and other forums and haven’t find any information about this quest.

The quest text is “Collect the spirits with the suspicious device”.

The thing is: everytime I talk with the suspicious device, it shoots a strange ball that disappears 2 seconds after that and nothing happens. I’ve tried shooting it from every direction, aiming at every monster, but nothing happened at all.

Does anyone know what I should do?

You have to launch the ball ON the red spirit to collect it. The ball must stop when it touches the red spirit.
If you collect a sufficient amount of red spirits, your quest will be completed.

Do not hit the blue spirits.

For anyone that still have a problem with this, the trick is to STOP charging the device midway (do not wait for the bar to go all the way). Doing that, you can regulate the DISTANCE.
