Well I’ll tell you what the 2 builds I tried out were. 1 was about 90% DEX and the other was 90% STR. With my DEX build, my damage was low but I crit about 25%+ of the time while buffed. With my STR build, every hit was equal to or exceeded my DEX build’s crits, and when I crit with my STR build the damage was crazy. My damage was double, if not more, I still didn’t miss despite having no accuracy, my crit is still not horrible because of Finestra, and my evasion sucks anyway because I wear plate armor and don’t get the evasion bonus from leather. So all in all, STR is definitely the way to go for me. Though I do agree that STR and INT should probably give some addition features. Maybe some block pen or 1/4 HP of CON.
warriors can more easily balance str and con than wizards due to the nature of their skills
Most warrior skills (and stuff down the line) dont hit that many times, while wizard skills (flame ground frost cloud etc…) are often multi hit, some on the order of 20-40 hits per cast. Therefore, matk is much more importan to wiz, especially because their base +dmg for any given skill is low (usually 600-900), unlike for warriors (1200-2000). Therefore, matk will help wiz more in terms of dps than str for warrior. This is why most wiz wont have high hp investments, unlike warriors.
Wizard has range though so naturally they don’t need as much HP
