Instead of class reset, why not make

  1. Make all Vibora map exploration, kill count quests shareable to all of your chars so you dont have to do them all over again, all you have to do is get them from Vibora.

  2. New Vivora function that lets you get all quest cards if you already finished them from your previous char. This only applicable from lvl 140 quests below. Questing is boring.

  3. Make all attributes levels shareable to all of your chars too. Spending another 90m to maximize your attributes is no joke. Eg. Frost cloud attribute, if you make another Elementalist you dont have to level the FC attribute again as you already do so from your previous Elem.

Good idea since we are like going lvl 600+, will they do it? Probably not since it’s a bit complicated compared to a simple, redo advancement quest. Like it anyway since I am not for resets or against them.

Post must be at least 20 characters

Thumbs up dude aura kingdom had something like this from the start, idk why ToS did not

Im actually against class reset but the other side have valid arguments too that needs to be address. Questing is boring, doing the same over and over, farming silver etc.

I want attributes to be shareable so people will have the incentives to make another char instead of spoon feeding them with reset. This will not kill the diversity because they still have the unique chars they had ready to use.

I am perfectly ok with class resets, and look forward to their (hopefully intelligent) implementation. However, I can understand the frustration of someone who, for example grinded as a pure con cryochrono and now some elememe respecs to that build because they need it that week for ET or whatever they decided to do it for. As the cryochrono id be a bit upset.

I wouldn’t mind seeing adventure journal cards (not silver rewards) becoming account bound either, but another thought I had would be the following:

Each time you delete a character the game mails you an item that is a 100% exp boost per rank and reduces attribute costs by 10% per rank that lasts for 24 hours (real time) per rank. So for example:

i make a r5 Archer, Ranger, QS, Scout 2. I realize this build is a mess and want to remake as A2 QS3. I delete my archer and get an item mailed to my account that is called Rank 5 Renewal (ic wut i did thar). This item would be a 500% exp bonus for 5 real time days. This bonus would also stack with exp tomes and tokens additively. This would also make my attributes cost 50% less for 5 days real time making the climb back to mid-to-high level attributes not break the bank

This would make releveling a breeze without needing to quest and for some ultra grinders might even let them get to r6 or 7 within their boost time faster than leveling alone might have done for them.

Just a thought

I’ve always thought this was a good idea. More things need to be shared like collections.

It should use your team level when factoring in the level of quests you can skip. Worst comes to worst, IMC makes a ton of money selling character slots as people frantically make characters just to boost up their team level.

Tada, opportunity for profit with minimal game impact. Cards have level limits and some quests have pretty good rewards, it’s not like people will never quest again either.

team level 10 can get lvl 50 quests below
team lvl 20 lvl 100 quests
team level 25 150 below
team level 30 lvl 200 quests

I also think that will solve the repetitiveness of new alt progression after doing them over and over again.

I’m fine as long as it is restricted to just the cards.

Otherwise:

Make new char.
Claim all the things!
Deposit into shared account.
Delete char.
Repeat.

Omg, yes to shared exploration!!!

Yes please for 1 and 2, 3 on the other hand is debatable maybe make the attributes cheaper instead of full free pass to the highest att lvl you got on respective skills.
Right now Attributes are the only somewhat effective silver sinks we have in game, such change can make a big silver inflation in the market.

Individual character Class based story quests intertwining into a common route should solve this.
A lot of MMOs have gone thru this, it’s a mystery to me how ToS’s story writer missed such.

Pretty much all quest base rewards are character bound and untradable at team storage.

They still have to level rank 8 skills that cost 300m+ so i doubt it will have huge impact on silver inflation. Right now most people (about 80% i think) dont even have 70 levels of attribute. I also doubt that anyone did leveled 2 the same attributes at highest level. Making one max level attribute cost close to 100m at rank 4 classes.

Discount is another idea though, probably 90% discount to make it more appealing to reroll a new char.

increase kill count exp cards by 1 for every 200 char you have

I like your solution but sadly its far more easy and profitable to just add a circle reset potion in the cash shop

Shared progression sounds pretty good, actually! xD

that for sure would bring a lot of people back

Circle reset potion maybe the easiest however that doesnt solve the core problem of boring repetitiveness of making new chars. Class reset actually encourages not to make new characters and only caters meta minded people who want to fit in.

The issues of people who want circle reset are: Repetitiveness, Boring questing and wasted investment. <— as long as you can fix these, people will likely make new chars instead of thinking class resets.

They can experiment to their heart contents too because the attributes are there, equipments can be shared etc. Example magic missle, you can attribute it to 100 then if you decided to make another wizard 3 variance youll likely to play because you arent required to pay another huge cost of attributing. You can easy to level too and be saved from that boring questing.

D*mn it! I got click-baited by a title again!

OT: I have nothing to say.

thats very true [quote=“jynxie10, post:17, topic:327174”]

tos should’ve been like that from the beginning but imc always go for the cash anyway I hope a dev read this post lol we know that’s not gonna happen

Good suggestions.

I believe the map exploration and kill count idea was mentioned a while back.

I really like the quest completion to be shared for all characters because there are some quests that take way too long just to get through to the next area. I wonder how the rewards will be given out for the craft item rewards though. A lot of us do the Great King storyline just for the Zachariel bangle to help us.

Who knows, maybe IMC will put some thought into doing this.
