Instant level up from 14 to 18 without filling out EXP bar

Bug Description :
(letting us know what you were doing before, during, and after the bug happened will help us a lot)

It seems to be a random bug, but I was simply just grinding in the mine when I instantly jumped from level 14 to level 18. I killed 3 bats together and got the level up animation even though my EXP bar was not maxed out.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Be level 14
  2. Kills bats in the Crystal Mine (might happen with other monsters as well)

Maybe you killed the “blue monster”?

Not a bug. Probably killed a shiny monster or two.

I don’t think so, my exp bar before and after was barely any different and I didn’t see anything blue when it happened. Just bats.

Really? I didn’t notice anything special though, but alright.

The blue from shiny monsters is not so perceptible in monster with the colors like the bats and maybe you don’t saw because tthey was 3.

same thing happened too me, to be more precise I was in the same area and I was killing those tentacle plant thingies

similar with my friend experience , but he got 15 jump to 26. any explain about it?

In ToS there’s 3 kind of special normal monsters.

Monster blinking white (not from any skill effect) - Drops lots of loot.

Monster blinking gold/yellow - EVEN MORE LOOT (I got 4 equipment from one I killed)

Monster blinking blue - massive amount of exp, usually easily giving you 1 level or more (to put into perspective, I got 21000 exp from killing a blue monster in Mine F3 when I was at lv 27 or so)
