Both cubes and cube pieces have a chance to drop, they can be dropped from all enemies in the zone. The drop rate compared to before has increased significantly.

i’m happy that the pieces are team storageable

A small fix is required…

The cube Lv is 220 not 170.

I still think that the drop rates for the rare cube pieces are way too low unless you play some geared Schwarzen Reiter than can nuke monsters en mass with high ASPD and damage paired with high mobility.

They need to nerf Reiter and increase the drop rates accordingly to make it more worthwile with normal characters&builds. Also, killsteal protection please, there are so many rude b@$#@ㄹㄷ$ out there who just take away your mob to improve their overall chances to get something although they already play meta farmer with RMT equip.

Oops haha. I made the tables after the initial drop lists and I mixed it up.

I played a bit this week, went to almost all HGs, barely found people playing there.

The ones I found, each took their own mobs, didn’t bother me, and I didn’t bother them, everybody was happy.

Also, I think something is weird with the drop system, may be a bug, but I noticed that after a while farming, the drop suddenly get even lower.

I got to kill 500 monsters and not a single fragment dropped, blue or purple.

Same to certain materials, like Geppeto Leaves and Gold Bars.

That was a good move. It’d be interesting to see the results if they were sellable too, but given the drop rates it may have made the fragments availability too high.

Thanks for the list, the purple weapon chance is lower than I expected. But at least every monster have a chance to drop.

This is called RNG, you can drop that shiny Rathalos Plate in the first one or after a week hunting the damn thing while swiming in every other damn material except the damn Plate… ops got sidetracked here, my bad, I absolutely hate full RNG systems.

Another Archer build will simply take the Reiter spot, Scout 3, Quarrel Shooter 3, Falconers 3 are all classes with great AA or low cooldown that can match Reiter farm speed.

I prefer RNG than that DPK tbh, but I think the RNG in this game is in tatters too, This doesn’t only happen in one map and in one situation, if I’m not mistaken it does happen in the fishing system, it seem to be a shared drop system, monster and fishing.

Once I saw a high transcend quarrel shooter 3+ scout3 + hakkapell, he didn’t give a shi t if monsters were spread too much xD.

The other system was top-down… but anyway I think that the notion of the drop getting lower is psychological, because you probably was getting unlucky.

Archers are great farmers and I for got about Hackapell, the dash make them more mobile than Reiter to search monsters.

I really wonder about that lol. This is not the only game I play with RNG, but I won’t argue here.

I know this game has it’s quote of issues, it also could be lag in server side, I was experience it these few days, my zombies where warping all over the place even tho my skills where casting normally with barely any delay (my normal latency in ToS is around 190ms so I know when I really start to lag).

Anyway, it’s dropping better now than before for sure, it’s easier to farm stuff, at least people can gear up a bit before going to ET and to suffer with practo lottery (not from the TP shop but from the quest cube itself lol).

@Queue This data came from your game experience or from game files itself? Not that I don’t believe, I’m just curious.

In which HG this happen? During the past days I have been farming at the 280-300 and didn’t experience this at all. Could be some problem with a specific HG or maybe just bad luck…

Also I believe that while all enemies can drop cubes/fragments, some have a higher chance than others, although I probably don’t have enough data to back this up. I’m gonna try to check this further some time.

Game files.

Though I always encourage further testing and data, there is no evidence in the files. The enemies have a separate drop list from the zone. The enemies within the HG have do not make reference to the HG cubes, only the zone does.

At random ones, I tried from 150-240, sometimes it’s just fine, but then it happen at 1 or 2 different HGs.

At 320 was fine for the 1 time I went there, I will try later on and see what happen.

I know the drop rate is pretty low, but after killing more than 500 mobs, to not even a fragment not drop I find it weird, if it was a shared count like it was before I would understand since it had 1 or 2 players getting there after a while, but now it was supposed to be individual.

Some people are experiencing this in the fishing too, I myself include, I did the first run till 7 circles (or runs w/e it was called I forgot lol) and got a few things, all trash but at least it was coming, then the next 3 runs didn’t came, the next day, I did the whole 10 runs and not a single item came.

I see… I said this because from 115 frags (blue armor and weapon) almost 40% was from the same monster, while others had mostly the same amount. But it was probably because I just kill more of then, anyway I’ll try to keep a record next time with a more controlled environment.

Oh and I forgot to say, thank you for this post.

I haven’t tried any of these so I can’t really say anything, but looking to the drop chance on some of these dungeons I think it may be working as intended, although I don’t understand why lower drop rate in lower level HG, the other way around would make more sense to me…

I don’t understand, aren’t these cycles/runs supposed to only count when you catch something? If you don’t get any item and lost your 10 tries there is a bug for sure. Or do you mean like it’s taking forever with nothing getting catch? This never happened with me, while can take some time (and a lot of bait, 150~250 for 10 cycles) to catch something, I always get 10 items. Try to get a print if it happens again and send a bug report.

I noticed that too, but even after a while killing the ones I knew dropped more, they stopped dropping after a while, then dropped 1 then nothing for more 150+ kills.

I wonder if there’s some kind of rotation in the mob on a map when that happens.

It could just be the nature of probability, but which monster was it?
