Ineffectiveness against higher level mobs

I wonder if there are any changes coming to this mechanic?
Especially since the level range for queues has been increased it’s not so uncommon to land in a party thats 20 levels above you.

You are just rendered completely useless for the entire run unless you are a healer, then at least you can provide some support.
It doesn’t even matter if you have 20k hp or more since you’ll most likely get one shot by knockdown shenanigans anyways.
Receiving 5~6 times the damage you would normally get and dealing maybe 15~25% of your original damage to the mobs is a poor way to design difficulty.
Also, please don’t tell me to “just play more carefully” if every so often when you use a skill your character decides to just stand still, frozen in an animation doing nothing for 3-4 seconds leaving you unable to perform any action.

Truly frustrating mechanic which I hope will get reworked someday, imo an EXP penalty would already be sufficient enough.
Let me know your opinion on this and how often this has happened to you!

Edit: Mostly referring to mission queues.

Being the only DD and no Cleric in the party while also being 32 levels under Cerberus and Dulla yesterday was much fun indeed.

Normaly the boss lv is ajusted depeding of the whole team lv same from mob
The mob are a bit higher and the boss a bit lower than the overall team (Group) lv.
Also, if a remenber right you shoulln’t have any lost of dps vs mob that are 20 lv difference with you and they get a huge resit (i think it was 500x time their resit) once you hit 21 lv difference. (Never say someone out of this range search party, guess i was lucky…)
It also mean you should have 100% of the xp (If your not dead when the boss get kill…) compare to before where you could loose more than 50% of the xp because you where 15 lv difference
The damage taken work the same ways as before. You take more damage for every lv over 5.

I was hitting Necroventer for 200~ and for 450ish with crits on my alt char Barbarian, and the boss was 20 levels above me… normally I hit for 1100ish with non crits and 1900~2200 with crits…

And yes it scales the mob level to the average level of the party, but if you are the only low level in the party you are still screwed =/

High level transcendence should help you cope up with that issue.

Unless you’ve been playing 24/7, you should still be able to catch up on transcendence level once gacha hopefully comes to iTOS.

Prepare your wallet though.


Seriously though, this issue has been brought up way too many times here already and I don’t remember IMC ever saying anything about fixing it even with the suggestions a lot of us already provided.

I got level 35 under once, I was at max distance, I tried to check boss hp so I was not to far when it dies.

Jumping into a dungeon instance as a tank and you’re taking 300% damage is not fun.
