Indirect accusations?

To start this off, back then when ‘/pmp’ can crash a channel, if the players didn’t know that kind of command exist, will the players go punished?

-they didn’t got punished (by ‘they’ the players who used /pmp to crash a channel) but the ones who are aware/unaware and opened the mystical cube several times due to ‘roll back’ as a feature (?) got punished, quite foolish if you’d ask me

but if IMC didn’t do anything, it will destroy their image, right? (no? go left)
from what I see, they just took a specific group of players (but specific group, those who abused the mystical cube, aware or not) and just ban the players who spammed the mystical cube but not the ones who used /pmp

why would IMC put a command like that?
if so, then what’s the purpose of it? would it benefit the players?

note: I am not protecting anyone nor affected by this temporary ‘ban’ but I find it quite idiotic on why would someone make a command like that

hook64 maker @Sorien said that there’s 3 more of channel crashing commands according to an old post which I couldn’t find, cuz lazy af (really IMC? 4 commands that can crash a channel?)

a gm command ingame is fine

but not restricting it to gm classes

this is like allowing anyone to the /root folder on your cpanel

theres a role authorithy n such…

in tos, everyone is admin if u know the /command

hunting bugs in tos is more fun n rewarding than dpk item drop

Why did the GMs make an abbreviated “/■■■■” command? …and I guess ■■■■’n ain’t so easy when using the command without bein’ ■■■■ enough crashes the game.

^ THIS. It’s either they have an incompetent QA, or they just don’t review their code/updates at all.

Maybe they use the command to kick everyone out for maintenance.

then why would they make it available for everyone and not exclusive for them (gm/staff)
2nd why are there 4 commands (if there are 4 that is) to crash a channel
3rd if it’s used to kick everyone out for maintenance then how come (when someone used the command) the other players didn’t got disconnected while you got disconnected (and vice versa)

Inb4 sorien releases a server crash command.

IMC bans everyone who was online atm, because they could use it.

Would be very IMC-typical to ban people cause they can. They dont have to prove you guilty of abuse, cause you are framed by default through the terms of service.

i’m telling you. This was the worst mistake of IMC by far, because this not only made their image go down to zero, it made lots of player ask themselfs: “why the hell I’m still playing this game, knowing that if they do anything wrong, and i’m not aware of what is happening I can be punished?”. And even worse: “they diserve my money?”

Then comes a GM and say that they did a specificy datamining, telling that players are just conspiring against IMC, with no sense. Really? So kick people because you did a mistake and they received more item than expected is your nice idea?

I dont was banned, either.

But you know why they dont care about that? BECAUSE it worked!!!
Most of 70% of player support the attitude, not putting themselfs in the position of those who received another cube without know anything about the duplications, and even WORSE, without see that with server crashing it became even worse.
In fact I already saw many many players telling to the other players they had to look and take note of what they receive from boxes in order to know if the server is working properly. Players telling the player need to make a Ticked to show something got duplicated, to prove their honest. Remembering that this is not somekind of TP bought, its just a item from the game that many not even saw it was duplicated.

I imagine CS-GO players receiving 3 nice weapons. They use it, then Valve comes and says: "why you dont oppened a ticket on support to tell us about this weapons you received? Why do you used it? "
wait what? hahaha

As a matter of thinking, come to any friend you know that dont play ToS, but that play whatever other game, then tell them that the owner did a mistake allowing players to crash the whole server, then some itens got duplicated on the inventory of multiple players that had anything to do with it. Unaware of this duplications or not, players used it, since it was just a item on the inventory. Common, just tell this story, without take sides.
Then tell to your friend all those players who used this item duplicated without him do anything to get it, and without any warning, just got banned.
Go on, dont judge me, just do what is above and then ask them what they think

Most game companies do these magical things called rollbacks except this one. The literal only game company I’ve ever seen not do it and just ban people or let some go with free stuff. lmao
