Indipendent corsair3 farming slave for r8 mats, help needed

Hi guys,

I was thinking, given the rework to corsair, to build a pillage char for r8 content for a couple of reasons:

a) our guild is ALThaumaSlaves flooded and we already have an oracle1/kabba2 to grp with them, would like to add more sinergy on the top

b) I have all the gear for phisical char (aside I will have to invest over that expensive manhas set for +1 line of pillage proc but that’s ok)

I would like to know what is the best build to go to proc as many pillages as possible and, at the same time, have enough damage to be farm stand alone in r8 when needed. I guess shinobi is a good combo for pillar procs, but not sure.

If you can kindly help me with this would be much appreciated.

A) Pelt with hop3 cors3

  • Pelt to provoke more mobs
  • hop3 to add more dmg
  • cors3 given

or Pelt3cors3 buld

  • more mobs to aggro

B) Dont go manahas it’s not worth-it

IMO only hop3 is worth it if you go farming cors3 (because of spear throw).

Doesn’t the new JR aggro post buff?

I was thinking high3BarbCors3Shinobi, is that horrible? I do own a +10 imperni with lvl 6 gems and a +8 manamana, but is hard to understand how the damage will be post buff ATM

I was also thinking about doppel, but shinobi should proc pillage, no?

I have already lolo top+bottom+red veris gloves or vubble gloves + windrunner. maybe sticking with better crit rate + MS + No need to farm an horrible set (sorry QS out of there) will be time saving in the end.

Can’t do this build, this is 9 ranks, unless you thinking ahead. If that’s the case, take away a rank from high or barb to have cor3 and shinobi for rank 8.

Depends what you want to farm but most mats are from cloth type mobs so you want lower circles specializing on slash types.

The most common build that I have seen in ktos listing are:

High3Cors3shinobi

peltaHopli2Cors3Shinboi

Sword3peltaCors3Shinobi

The 1st build seems more popular atm, till have no clue how is the playstile (yeah, I’m super nap swordsman wise)

Is that the reason couz high3 is more popular atm? Also, I would like to have a viable 1h sword/pistol build playable for practo sword to stack mdef.

Highlander in general seems to be more popular there, even for doppel. Maybe because of the skill rotation and armor break
