I think it is best for all if IMC could improve class reset a little more. They improved it a lot already so no harm in there, it would gave us more freedom to choose from. Since swordsman is garbage now (will only be included in party for bonus exp or swash A.K.A. rank 7 era).
As far as coding goes, this would be a bit weird to prepare for. Currently you can only select the base class via the character creation lodge, and any time you start that call, you also have to pick a character name and go through the usual customization.
I would not expect IMC to implement a full character reset anytime soon, but I donât agree that we need this. The whole thing about character classes is to divide up the usual playstyles/roles. If a full character reset was implemented, the reset becomes a means to chase certain metas rather than fixing issues with your character. The resets are provided as a convenience for any rebalances, anyways. Though, contrary to what I said before, I do think itâd help the game to have a paid reset service (to include full reset).
Personally I support this because I want out of cleric class after seeing their dps nerfs. The only reason i leveled a cleric was because it could solo and heal.
I agree with you. Whatâs the difference between âmeta chasingâ in same class tree and other class trees? The reset is not here to âchase the metaâ, but to allow people to play the new builds.
are swordies that bad then in Ktos Test server? they havent even finished the test patches but if they are that bad then i worried about my class.
and i never follow the meta (so im not dex goon as many people told me to go full dex never trusted that), i just played my favorite class due spears (sw1>pelt1 > hop3 > doppel > dragoon 2) but now this make me fear that my class once again its trash and unwelcomed to parties
Same reason why we have rank reset in the first place. IMC bent to the pressure. This however is just an extension of the existing system.
The damage probably is there, however will get overshadowed with better âDPSâ from other classes. Meta people will hire the best DPS, if the intention is to nerf the swordsman âDPSâ as clearly evident with the gutting of skill damage on the tree then the end game is clear already.
Wiz, Archers, Clerics will rise as the top DPS. Swordsman as utilities and for bonus exp. Thats what IMC balancing all along. Rebalancing means nerfing the existing Top DPS while preserving the non-damage skills for the goddesses servants.
This will also lessen the IMCed factor when choosing a class and gets rebalanced after, not just for swordsman as a whole.
Then it would no longer be a rank reset it would be a free lvl scroll, donât be a lazy â â â â , the rank reset scrolls are generous already. If you want a new base class make one.
lvling does not take as long on this game as people pretend it does.
If people are ignoring dungeons/events and consuming xp cards as they receive them, they inevitably get stuck. Game moves a lot faster if you only eat enough cards for the map youâre rolling around in, otherwise you crawl through the game.
Why alot of the dungeons give insane xp, and there are lots of sections you can grind pretty quickly. Me and my friend just make new characters on the weekend and in those 2 days we got to 200 easy (only questing up to 30). The only section i find to be awful is 260-290 the 260 dungeon is meh and missions xp has already started to fall off pretty hard at that lvl. Maven seems like the best option but maven groups are scarce. I usually card though this section.
Not to mention lots of people just leech new characters off warlocks , not sure how effective this is though havenât tried it myself yet.
I was just trying to present the usual ânew playerâ scenario. But, yeah. Leveling in this game isnât very hard. And if you already have a grind capable character established, you can grind for dungeon clears.
What about the new changes makes you think that clerics will be high DPS? Like I am genuinely curious.
All multi-hit skills got the shaft damage wise which is the majority of cleric damage. In fact I would argue that the only âDPSâ cleric class will be monk/inquisâŚwhich is kinda how it should be.
I disagree the red classes should atleast have good damage skills like druid / sadhu for a lot of the others you could make the argument that most are green support classes but the reds should at least get some decent damage.
Multi-hit aoe classes like Miko/PD can still take up priest3 in full SPR build to boost their damage too. Since full SPR blessing now gives till +3k damage per tick, it is an excellent option to use to increase the damage of low skill %factor aoes such as hamaya.
