IMO the good/decent Wiz classes up to Rank 5 are; Pyro, Cryo, Linker, Psychokino, and Thaumaturge (as support, since Transpose is apparently useless)
(so Pyro->Linker, and Cryo->Psy would be good builds)
I have only played Pyro, Cryo, Psychokino, and Sorc, but I have read other people’s feedback on the other Wiz classes and people do not seem too impressed with Chronomancer or Elementalist.
Agree with combinations. Playing Wiz-Pyro-Linker, ought to be triple Ele afterwards and having only positive emotions. With Wiz-Pyro-Linker you have the ability to bind 5 mobs together, put them at one square and fill the ground with fire damaging them like hell.
Ele has painful cooldowns for his skills but each one of them is pretty capable of killing a pack you bind with one link, so it’s not that a problem.
Yap this is basically the 2 FOTM builds everyone and their dog plays.
pyro->linker
cryo->psyc
They are both fun and easy with OP amounts of dmg.
However… the problem is… EVERYONE is playing this 
PROTIP: its cbt, xp rates are higher, skill reset is cheap, so why not just experiment
