Impossible to start the game

Gameplay Bug Report Connection / Game Crash

Impossible to start the game, the process client_tos.exe stop after 3/4 secondes.
I’ve tried all of theses solutions

  • Run Steam or Tos in Administrator
  • Restart PC
  • Exclude Steam of my AntiVirus
  • Verify the local files
  • Reinstall Directx / Redistruable Visual C++
  • Reinstall Steam / The Game / Change localisation (SSD or classic HD)

But if I launch release/patch/tos.exe I’ve an issue with popup :
Windows not found …release\patch\tos.exe. Verify …
But if i rename this file (tos1.exe for example), it’s ok I’ve a patch and a screen login. But client_tos.exe doesn’t work or if I renamed tos1 to tos the issue come back

  • OS : W10 pro x64
  • Internet Connection : VDSL (ADSL2+)

try to restart your computer in safe mode with networking, then try to run the game.

Could you try to open a command prompt in the client_tos.exe folder, then type “client_tos.exe -SERVICE” and tell us what happens?
The client should create crash dumps in the same folder if it crashes, post the last one here.

Oh yahh The game starts with this command.
It asks me to restart to apply a patch, but no restarts.
So I’ve launched my tos1.exe in patch and after that the client_tos.exe -service works fine.
It’s a very good progress.
Thks for this first step.
