Tree of Savior Forum

IMPORTANT for the future of this wonderful game

First of all, I want to address a few issues at the steam integration of this game prior to the suggestions.

=Issues:

1- Releasing the game like that was a mistake in the long run. Why? Because there is a lot of people that just doesn’t read anything at all and they are not familiar with this game/site forum, they only use steam forums. These people is giving the game bad reviews because they can’t play a game that says PLAY… Yes, it is absurd that after investing money on something, you can’t read the description where the date releases are or look up for information regarding what is going on before just giving it a bad review. (Your mistake was, again, not to think fast and well enough on how to deal with your potential clients/ clients/ users/ human beings or however you call them).

=Suggestions:

1- Fix issue #1 as soon as possible before this affects the game in the long run, because games with bad reputation have a hard time later on the race and the bad reputation count is going up as we procrastinate.

2- Also, hire more people or competent ones for the steam integration department, this department is one of the most important ones, it secures your income and it mostly represents the face of the game/company…

3- Hire dedicated staff for the forums moderation of this site and specially for the steam forums, which will end up being more relevant than this forums in no time once the game is released.

4- Sort out the steam forum categories, forums and sub-forums before the release.

=====

For the time being that’s all I’m going to say and I wish you the best. This game is good :evergreen_tree:  , I hope it succeeds regardless some management flaws that can be corrected in time to prevent further accidents.

bad reviews are insignificant if they are outnumbered by good reviews when the game gets out…

the opposite is also true

Well, the game is not even out and it already dropped to 85% positive from the initial steady 96%-93% positive.

I find it amusing that at this very moment, ToS has 666 positive reviews and 111 negative reviews.

99% of the negative “reviews” are morons who can’t read.

I don’t think all negative reviews come from people like that, there’s also people who is mad because of the poll, but still a lot of those negative reviews do come from users that does not read and are new to the game/community. What makes me sad is that I love and care about this game, but there’s usually no response from the staff regarding these issues or suggestions. They take time to answer random, non-nonsensical post sometimes, but not the important ones unless the bomb explodes and it is too late.

What im saying is that morons gotta be morons. They would have complained even if IMC would have released ToS free to play from the get-go.

Well… Yes, people complain with or without a reason. xD But there is always a way to take this issues into consideration and minimize damage before something goes bad. IMCGames should look forward to prevent problems, not to resolve them. Resolving problems is more expensive and it never guarantees that things will be fine afterwards. Prevention is always better and most of the time cheaper in the long run.

If only these kind of post reached them… But they seem too busy dealing with silly troll posts that doesn’t help to improve this game. :bear:

This makes me wonder if I should spend my time on such a good game, with the current way things are being done (without directly accusing anyone guilty). I seriously want this game to succeed… But I can’t believe the dumb mistakes that are being done and the infuriating rate of them coming one after another faster than a P90.

This is sad, infuriating and I feel F impotent because I know what is going to happen before it happens. These mistakes are so obvious… WHY? Is it intentional? Am I getting pranked so I die from a heart attack before the release? :sob:

Calm down.

Sure, the negative (uneducated) reviews went up by 11, but the positive reviews went up by 27 since my last post.

And arcording to Steamspy, ToS is on the (EDIT: seems to swap between seventh and ninth place constantly) place among all MMO’s on steam. And certainly has the best score among the newly released, too.

Overall, weaker planes have stayed in the air.

I wouldn’t worry that much about reviews, really… right now, at least.

To all other points - yes. We need competent people (such as myself) to rule over the forum sheep.
Jokes aside, we really need moderators, as Julie will probably collapse, trying to police us all.

Obviously some work needed to be done on Steam moderation too.

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

Well, I just want the best for this game… That’s all. I don’t aspire to be an active part of this project, because that would mean that I wouldn’t be playing the game. I just want to support from the rear the best I can for this babylicious game.

No, I agree. And while I can’t care much about reviews, Steam page CLEARLY needs to be fixed.

Among the first things - actual information about the release.

There is information, the problem is that people just don’t read or ask themselves why things happen and how to resolve them. It’s easier to blame and get angry over something than to actually think and seek the solution or reason behind it. Silly assumptions which translate, in this case, to bad reviews and a toxic/confusing environment for the starting point of the game.

I dunno, my page clearly states that the game releases 19th March, which is not correct in any form.

In the descriptions explains everything.

Look man, I see your point, but most of people wouldn’t even bother to read it sometimes.
They simply want to play. Exactly for these people there should be a proper release date and a proper, seen-by-all description.

Well, like I said in the main thread, IMC should have considered the mental capabilities of its clients and where any actions or false steps they take would lead them to…

Anyway, it seems this post has reached its destination. Now I will proceed to stop commenting for the sake of it remaining a constructive critic.

The ratings are still dropping… now to 83%. Are you serious, IMC?
