IMC, there's a problem

Problem is: I’m bored. Me and my guildmates, who are mostly simply not playing last ~month. We also have a strong belief we are not the only ones.

You recall the Bartle Taxonomy, right? About Killers being an important part of playerbase and so on, affecting the number of others too? Well, what does iToS offer to Killers now? Guild Wars? Srsly? Know the thing about Guild Wars? Spontaneous distraction, no reward. And, more importantly, no habituation. Ppl don’t even want to grind for what they’ll “probably get in the future”.

Now, I fully understand your concern. About applying a patch to several regions and then having to rebalance everything if it happens at kToS + testing different variants on-the-go (Ranger, Highlander). I also realize you know that international public will require much more in terms of PvP balancing then kToS.

But what I’m trying to tell you is that you might be closing to a point where there will be too late to get those “leavers” back. You really should roll that patch.

Please think about it.

Thank you for your time.

@STAFF_Max @STAFF_Ines @hkkim

PS. And for Christ’s sake, pls make HL and Ranger values same for both servers. Whichever variant you prefer.

Another one of this kind of threads, really?

I’m being persuasive here +,+

Number of threads is a good thing.

you do realize, right, that every mmo ever will lose players over time.

f2p mmo’s literally gush lost players. people try it because it’s free so why not. then they get bored, and move on. it takes an average of 2 years to develop a stable population.

and of course, with ToS being closed to new players right now… well, what do you expect but a downward turn in the population?

also, you’re completely butchering the intended use of Bartle’s theory. “balanced” doesn’t mean having the same numbers of each group… it means having a reasonable stable ratio between the groups.

ToS primarily caters to Achievers and Explorers. Socializers come a distant second, and even in kToS, killers come a long third.
Other games have different focuses.
if you don’t like the focus a game puts on your preferred activity, then find a new game instead of ranting till the end of time, because it really isn’t going to have a significant impact in the end.

you took his bait m8

I know about the balance. I just see that this game has a great potential for mass-PvP, which is bound to get the attention of Killers, certain share of RO players, obviously. Idk about you, but I cannot think of this game as a PvE one. It’s also not much of a journey upperlevels atm. I do realize that will come later, but ppl are perceiving the game now.

It’s like staring at your prize through the bulletproof glass.

And does isolation mean they should just let everybody go? How about holding to what they have now? Cuz hey, they are already published, why make things even worse? It initially sold good, but they’ll need to sell it for long.

So is it worth it to lose those ppl? Now? The whole killer segment of playerbase -> 0, because that’s the amount of core content implemented.

And they don’t need to design & develop smth, they just need to take their downtime and be very technical.

Isn’t there that battle thing in Fedimian? The one with the two swords?

@forestoflotus ,
The feature is currently disabled for international players.

PvP’ers come to -every- game and say this, demanding changes to make the game fit their style.
“if you don’t add more/better/fancier/i like soup/this is purple/different PvP then your game is going to die.”

if they add glitchy pvp and other things, with the way the game is now, with zero balance implemented, that is -literally- making things worse. everyone will complain how terrible it is, and they’ll have to spend their time fixing the PvP as well, on top of everything that still needs fixing.

sure, because it’s not like they’re doing anything else during that time, right?
