IMC, the new GvG time restriction is killing us

I’m in the guild Lotus, in the Klaipeda server.

We cannot GvG at the 9:00 PM EST time slot.

I’ve also heard that the guild Bad Apple is in a similar situation. I do not know about other guilds.

Lotus and Bad Apple are 2 of the top 3 guilds in the NA servers.

We are core members of the community, and we are being left out in the cold.

Fix this, IMC. Just having GvG at 12:00 AM EST is fine. Or 11:00 PM. Or revert it back to two time slots again. Or have the time rotate by day of the week. Or hold a poll. Or something. Anything! Just throw us a bone here.

There was NO good reason to cut down on TBL and GBL scheduled hours.

Fix one problem, generate another.
IMC can never make players happy XD

Why not just have an all out Friday night, all weekend GvG party? No hours restriction.

Please IMC, players can’t play GvG at 9 AM (Fedimian, Europe). I wish you could understand something that simple. Add twelve hours to the current schedule and then we’re fine ! Come on IMC do something good for your game, and fast !

Silute have same problema, GVG at 23:00 is too late, put it 21:00 or 22:00 again.

I am fine with the new time for NA and very pleased.I don’t think being in the top guilds actually gives more attention than other guilds.Every guild should be included and not only the “top guilds” or the “core members of the community” lol.

^ What is this lol,other guilds don’t matter?I believe small or bottom rank guilds matters as much as the “top guilds”.Last time I check Bad Apple and Lotus aren’t the majority of NA population nor in Klaipeda.

Good job IMC please don’t change it and leave it only at 9 pm so I can participate and go to bed for work in the morning.I need to wake up 4 am every weekday.There is no guilds participating at 9 pm if you give us another session.With only 1 session that is early and reasonable you get to have all the guilds who wants to compete to join it.

Don’t let 2 guilds decide the outcome lol,your smarter than that IMC XD.However, for other servers you guys need to fix their appropriate times on the EU/Silute/SEA BUT NA time is FINE!

A compromise should be made in the sense that between the two times, GVG should be played. It would mess with the TBL times and you’d have even more players who would complain about how they don’t GVG and want to enjoy THEIR pvp time cause they’re core players etc. 12 am on an North american server is a dumb time though; especially considering the east coast needing to, you know, sleep for adult stuff. 10-11pm I’d say at latest for a session is fine…but anything after that is pandering way too much to west coast when really they should be home and fine by that time.

Only some of this applies to Lotus, namely when you choose to queue, but the entirety applies to Bad Apple who also complained to GMs about the time.

There is absolutely no reason that west coasters are unable to make the 9pm EST timeslot. People almost all get off work before 5:30 and even if that means you have to play as you get home, well then you need to tough it out. You know what Crimson has had to do for the past month? We’ve had to field incomplete rosters in both timeslots. You know what’s much worse than coming home and playing GvG a little early? Being stuck playing GvG till 1 in the morning EVERY week day for an east coaster who has work in the morning.

Chasing 1st place only to have it taken away by a bug and have the other guild brag about it and reap your rewards after spending a week playing GvG 2 hours a day because we couldn’t get matches for half our roster due to EVERY guild in the server dodging to a safer timeslot.

Go recruit people that can make both timeslots or adjust your schedule to play on certain days. I’m sorry that both Bad Apple and Lotus can no longer dodge real competition in GvG and get free TP, but now both of you guys will have to play against our full roster every day. I suppose I’d complain too in this case. I didn’t see DragonKnight complaining about getting 2000 free TP and a fake 1st place title to the GM, instead he whined that he couldn’t play GvG at a time that was perfect for him.

If you wanted to complain about GvG how about complain that the ranking system in general is completely broken, but I suppose Bad Apple have been the benefactors of it for weeks now. Instead of attempting to play against us they farm smaller guilds and then when we play at 12 they wait for us to get matches. Since playing a larger volume of matches is more important, they could never play against us and still surpass us in rank. Even when this wasn’t the case, Bad Apple gets the benefit of the ranking bug updating their matches while ignoring 6 of our wins.

Lotus I suppose at least has had no reservation against queueing into us when we do play at 12 in recent weeks so I respect that, but I do not respect Bad Apple.

Sounds like this has nothing to do with time slots and you just trying to take a jab at Bad Apple. You should be upset at IMC’s broken system, not us.

The truth of the matter is that BA likes playing against you, but not when we don’t have a proper lineup. It’s respecting the fact that you guys have a very solid team and we don’t have a chance if we’re not at our best.

Honestly I’m surprised in how petty your post is. Your anger is misguided and quite frankly that’s disappointing to see.

My anger is not misguided when Bad Apple games the system day in and day out just waiting for Crimson to burn out chasing #1. We don’t have a full roster at 12 and we still queue because we were forced to. Having the previous luxury of other guilds avoid the 9 timeslot and having free reign to hide behind the 12 timeslot clouds your judgement. As I said Lotus chose to queue regardless of their roster and not avoid us the entirety of the 12 timeslot. Bad Apple on the other hand waited for us to get matches or avoided queue entirely to preserve their rankings.

Because of the above, I choose to not give Bad Apple the benefit of the doubt and will continue to assume they care more about gaining TP and bogus rankings rather than actual competition.

Did we create entire threads and comlain to GMs about timeslots before? No, because we dealt with it. Unless you can refute my point about 9 being perfectly reasonable even for west coasters, then I don’t see the point. The sense of entitlement is off the charts when before the change no one seemed to have an issue with east coasters being forced to play till 1 in the morning EVERY day. Now I assume this is the part where some of you try to explain that there were 2 timeslots and how that is more fair and balanced. The issue is when no other guild plays in the 9 timeslot not because they can’t field a team but because they dont want to risk a tough match against Crimson. It actually infuriates me the more I think about how west coasters seriously think 6-6:30 is too early to GvG.

The issue here is that you can be ranked #1 and never actually have to compete against another guild in the top 3.

  1. GvG should not be scheduled every day.
  2. Top Guilds need to be forced to play against each other.
  3. Rankings need to be fixed.

Without all of these things true competition is hard to actually achieve and people will continue to abuse the system.

We’re not going to queue with only 10 people online and none of them being a chrono. We’re not going to beat Crimson nor Lotus when that happens. I mean for goodness sake, I’ve PM’d you specifically sometimes asking how many games you have left when we finally get the team together.

Some people have life commitments that don’t allow them to play a video game at certain times. Most people in Bad Apple couldn’t play at 9. It wasn’t to dodge anyone, they just couldn’t.

Also, who from BA was bragging about “being #1?” The entire sentiment in the guild is “wow IMC is really screwing up.” No one celebrated a victory as if we earned it. We know what happened and we acknowledge it.

It honestly seems like you have misdirected anger towards us about the entire situation. You’re also being unreasonable about people not being able to make a specific time due to IRL commitments. C’mon man, take a step back and look at how ridiculous that sounds.

Then recruit more people or suggest a more reasonable hour. 12 is not reasonable in any context. And Owntrolf was most certainly bragging in chat.

Well, you’re right. 12 isn’t very reasonable and I’m not a fan of it. Personally I think GvG should be 2 hours long starting from 9 and going until 11. It would solve a lot of issues. Just flat out removing a time slot and only leaving a single one hour block just baffles me.

Also pretty sure that’s just Owntrolf being…well, Owntrolf. ;p

EDIT: Just saw your edit. Trust me, seeing who’s #3 every week with a single game played shows how obnoxious things are and we sure as hell don’t like it, either. We want competition, too. Not much I can say to try and convince you we’re not just straight up dodging you guys other than to say that we just wanna play you when we’re at our best because we enjoy competition and respect Crimson’s ability.
