You might not have that problem, but the change would help some people.

They said at the moment: they donāt know how to do that with the codes so theyāre exploring other possibilities like canceling quest class.

Just like the optimisation patch, IMC needed time to work on the code.
So maybe one day, you will have a reset class if IMC doesnāt forget you request.
Also, I doubt if the reset class will ever be a thing, people will come back playing just for that, lol
Pretty sure businesses care about money, and even 10% of the population (if you actually wanted to extrapolate a forum poll to broadly generalize the entire player base) bought them every now and then, IMC is still making money.

Eventually whiners & nabs will get their stat/class resets and all the countless 1k hours I spent learning my class after countless builds of the same class to r6 every time will have been for nothing as some whiner who got his way will have achieved the same build in 1/100th the time being a walletwarrior base class.
But until that day I look forward to IMC never bringing resets to fruition.

a full reset/or partial would be a nightmare to code.
You would have to be given a way to get all your class xp back (an item specifically made for this purpose that only gave class xp), then there would need to be a way to remove the xp and the quest line as well (not as hard), the outfit would have to be removed and destroyed (more coding as they canāt be dropped or destroyed). Moving on for that, you would then need this special item to populate itself with the total class xp that you have at that point, your attributes for said class would have to be coded to be removed if any, and this would need to be done in a way where it could be replicated for each rank from 2-7 if you choose to do so.
There is also the lazy way where itās coded to just rip the levels/quest/outfit/attributes from you without an ability to get it back.
Their stance isnāt NO, they are looking into ways of how it can be done, but Iām pretty sure itās on the back burner, and the closest we would get to ever seeing it would be rank 8 at the earliest when builds will be modified by rank 8 existing. The only way that we would see a change earlier than that is if they moved skills around and heavily modified circles. And it would have to be a major change across the tree paths.
Would I like a reset? Sure.
Is it possible? Sure
Is it plausible considering there are much bigger issues? No.

Just kind of questioning why they would have to make an item to give the exp when they can attempt to auto set you to the same level or lvl 1. I see other games do that just fine.
Why would the exp and questline need a reset?
The outfit can just be made to equip only when you have this and that class.
Attributes set to 0. I personally donāt see how that is hard to code.
