Yep, tell that yourself “whatever”. Because class resets ain’t coming.
Since you mentioned WoW, why don’t you go to Blizzard’s forums or Aion and ask for Class Resets? Lols

wow, a game that have 5m-12m players is a shitty game? ok.
i don’t like wow and don’t play it but i give the respect where it need to be given.
what is there to reset in wow or aion classes?
True class reset potions. No. I can’t think of any games.
I think the closest any existing game gets to a Class Reset potion is the inherent design of Final Fantasy XIV. You’ve got all this gear, money, achievements, but you don’t like playing a Paladin anymore? Just equip an axe and now you’re a Warrior.
And considering FFXIV’s popularity, they may very well be on to something.
What would TOS be like if you could level up every class in the Cleric skill tree, and then while in town, swap out which circles of your leveled classes into each of your 7 Ranks? Today you want to solo, so you take your Cleric 2, Krivis 3, Paladin 1, PD 1 out. Now it’s time to run a dungeon, so just swap out your Krivis for your Priest 3, Paladin 1 for your Chaplain 1 and you’re good to go. I think with a system like this, the only limit is that you’ve already invested your status points in a way that probably favors some classes over others.
Yea I like FFXIV’s class systems. But I don’t see ToS implementing something similar to it since they have a lot of pressing issues at this moment. But who knows. I don’t think they’ll change their class systems.
True, they did say that.
But why would they change class advancement quest? For what purpose would they do it when it is already working perfectly now? They replied in context with the class reset. It is safe to assume it is for the class reset issue.
I don’t like to argue with assumptions on what IMC likes to do with this class reset. We have a lot of topics about that already.

If you misclick the wrong class quest.
They’ll potentially allow you to reselect the right class so long as you haven’t completed the quest to actually become that class.
People by nature gravitate towards things that they like and are familiar with. Not to mention that the vast majority of games have obvious influences. What is so wrong with us drawing comparisons between games, expressing what we like and dislike along the way?

From what I understand based from what they said…
They will give an option to ditch class advancement quest for those who doesn’t want to do it and just allow them to pick the class they want when they reach rank 15.
The only game i can think of it now is PoE, but they only do a full passive reset when they change the passive tree.
But still, if you want to re-roll your char in there you need lots of orbs of regret to do so, in the end, it is better start a new char and do what you need.
I would like to point out that FFXIV is designed and balanced around the class changing.
Carry on.
Ah yes. Regardless of how much nostalgia I have for RO, that was a long time ago when I had way more time than I knew what to do with and sitting in town chatting was a way of life. Married and working, I find that I have to gravitate towards games where I can hop on, accomplish some small tasks to have fun and then go back to being responsible.
On the speculating front, I actually see that idea as something more of a hybrid between FFXIV and Guildwars, which I don’t exactly think exists anywhere yet. FFXIV in that you could level all classes, Guildwars in how you can swap out abilities in town, but a hybrid in that you’re swapping out whole class circles and their abilities.
it will not work in the lvling part. go gring class lvls if you dont have quests.in ff 14 you have quests for yuor first 2 classes and you dungeon grind , someting you cant do here.
You assume too much.
What IMC will do: If you selected a wrong class in advanced menu, you will be able to abbadon this class quest and take another one.
Now you can’t do that. If you take a wrong class you must deal with it until that change comes.
This is a class reset? No.

Exactly what you said. Which is good enough
I highly doubt about misclicking a class advancement. The button for accepting your desired class is way off from the choices and this is not a huge issue to be worked on.
“We will, however, consider making it possible to give up class advancement quests to allow picking a different class.”
^ This statement is referring to its previous sentence. Doesn’t make sense if they are not related or if it branches of as a different point.
Anyway, we can both agree that IMC is considering it. It may or may not come, whatever form or idea they are planning on it.
EDIT:
P.S. What would be your say on the point of having the player pick a different class and not doing the class related quest as to your understanding?
Personally, I actually don’t see the point of having the player choose a different class rank as oppose to clearing the quest for it. I mean, players are frustrated AFTER they pick the class and tested it out, not when they are about to choose what class they wanted to pick next.
EDIT2:
My understanding is they will remove the quest advancement for the circle reset because it happens every rank 15 to advance as with how they coded it. Without this, it will be possible to get all circle ranks you like AFTER the reset.
