IMC response to KR community's outcries

They don’t take people messing around like that lightly, it seems. If they were trying to be funny, IMC didn’t find it funny. Frankly I dislike jokers like that.

I do agree that it’s not funny, but a 60 days punishment which is the same as bug abuse is too harsh.

I think that they should just give a warning for the bad joke.

Maybe they’re just setting an example so other people don’t do it. The GMs obviously didn’t think it was funny.

Oh, people want to be ban cheaters because…

  1. Abuseres deceive people to keep exp card
    i. Simply, because abusers doesn’t want share their bugged field
  2. Abusers abuse the bug in Roxona (monsters doesn’t response at ranged attack)
    i. Abusers got a lot of exp, luxury items, and game currency through the bug abusing
  3. Abuseres libel (nearly witch hunting) people who doubt abusers’ suggestion.

Also, people get mad because…

  1. ToS has numerous bugs and errors
    i. Most errors are already reported previous tests
ii. It means IMC ignores reported bugs and errors before the official release
  2. IMC Games ignores users’ complaint
    i. IMC doesn’t regulate bots, auto program users, and bug abusers.
ii. IMC hides the bug abuser list.
  3. IMC provides horrible service
    i. The game fundamental functions, such as trading, requires TP, the cash shop money.
ii. They already makes cash items, such as exp boost item

It’s not deceiving. That’s the best method from the CBT unless one found a better grinding spot, which he can decide to share or make it public.

The community will rage anyway regardless if the spot is bugged or not, because they are lazy to explore and want the higher level player to guide them.

Funnily how CBT players simply laugh at those that who don’t explore enough and want to be spoonfed, and OBT players condemn those who can but not willing to spoonfeed them.

They may had went too far in hiding the spot (which I’m not really sure how because I don’t understand Korean), but I don’t think there is any reason to ban them unless for some hidden reason. This bugged spot is really too vague to be known as a bugged or imbalanced spot.

While this bring no extra value to my point, I had shown the video of the area to my friend who played ToS in icbt2 without telling them about the incidence, they just went ‘whoah this is a nice grinding spot’ instead of ‘this is bugged’, This may shows how hard it is to determine if the place is bugged for a player until that place is announced to be bugged.

I found it strange that so many people took heavily after guides instead of finding alternative journeys for themselves, especially with “recommended” leveling locations usually being congested.

agree… agreeing so much right now, i remember that forum thread with the people who hit level 200 very early in the icbt 2 and people became extremely angry because they didn’t share ‘enough’ of their approach to leveling up

While I do dislike them for not sharing their method, I don’t disagree with not sharing as it’s not their responsibility.

Surely, there are some stupid users who only know following the guide (don’t use exp card, grind 130 - 160 exp in the demon prison). These dumb users should be blame, too. Moreover, stuipid users were dictated in the demon prison. These users also libel other users, too D:

If I were level 130 user, I WILL NOT FOLLOW that stupid guide ; but, they did.

One cornerstone of ToS is many interesting hidden quests, and easter eggs! When I read books in the mine, and guessing next story; it was so intersting!! For me, these naive users don’t know what is the real fun aspect.

However, this incident is focused on the “hiding, and abusing a bug,” not the guide, itself.
That bug abusing could be collapsed the game economy seriously. (average 8.5 million silver, more than 100 very expensive scrolls, and some became “Alchemists,” possible economy holder.)
